the number 1 thing i look for in a luggage is Quality! i used to buy the cheapest luggage available but investing in at least 1 great luggage is sooo worth it. A good zipper or clamp, easy moving wheels, good balance, great handle, all things that will help lugging around that thing in the airport a breeze! Because Rimowa would need to ship it off to replace it since it was actually the wheel housing that needed to be replaced. Had the issue before on the Rimowa and it took 6 weeks before I got it back

I think that spending so much on the check in luggage is not the best idea given how poorly the bags are treated by the airports. I wouldnt mind the carry on luggage as they look good and you can make sure it doesnt get damaged. Also wish they did a briefcase to match the hacket. also miss the days when they has the coloured inserts in the briefcases. They are very plain looking now. Still amazing quality though. Can never knock that. :)

What will happen to the Rimiwa? You technically don’t need it anymore, If it’s replaced by Carl Friedrik. However, they are generally good quality and expensive… spare luggage? Sell it? Rotation? Btw: did you ever come across LOJEL? Japanese brand, Hahgry by Nature seems to love it, looks online. BTW2: who broke the wheel off, you it the airline? I’m happy with my Samsonite suitcase case, but it’s closer to ten years and while I’d like to get something new, I just can’t bring myself to do it as long as it’s a 100% intact and functional 😅

Hi Pi -- I technically don't need the Rimowa anymore. But I've had it for like 20 years so I'm not ready to trash it. I sent it off for repair 😀. Wheel was broken when it arrived in baggage claim
