I totally understand about casting multiple parts in the same color since I got into 3D printing. And not including a string so that some weirdo safety protocol had to be followed was a good call - back in MY day, you could have toys that could launch plastic bits so hard that they not only could put out your eye, but also possibly a window, and they were FUN! The option to re-live the glory days of 80's and 90's toys with a bit of elbow grease is worth it. Why, I remember the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Pizza Thrower that could knock an antique off of the mantle from across the room...we all learned a valuable lesson that day, I tell ya whut!

Many of these incidents are unfortunate but not really a big deal. I have every MOTUC figure and have been lucky to not have any of the breakage as of yet. My biggest gripe in my collection is my Queen Angela who has a discolored shoulder where it looks like another color plastic was mixed in and created this grey looking swirl in her flesh color. I tried contacting Digital River for a replacement but never got a reply on multiple attempts. Otherwise, my collection looks incredible to me even with the little imperfections.

It's a slight irritation that these figures came misassembled, but as you say, it's barely noticeable. Some people just love to make mountains out of molehills.

@@dannycruz5446 Same could be said of any fandom, mate. TransFormers had "Trukk vs. Munky," "Star Wars" had the the whole Old Fans vs. New Fans schism with the Disney movies, "Doctor Who" got increasingly divisive over the last few years. Being a fan of ANYTHING online these days can make you end up miserable, if you pay too much attention to all the palaver.

@@dannycruz5446 I'm not involved with too many online fandom communities, but I have been in the MOTU community for years. And man, do we thrive on being miserable. Eventually, many of the fun members have stopped participating in the community, leaving only the miserable nit-pickers around. It's a great property, and there are great fans, but it's dang hard to find them.

I keep watchin' all your past videos and I wanted to say somethin' only at the end of this "watchin' the re-runs" but I have to say somethin' about this video. I hate to say this because with every video my respect toward you is goin' up and up, and I'm every time so thankful. But as a long time fan and subscriber since 2011 I have to be sincere: the Black Plastic Morbo (as I called it back in 2013) was a moronic mistake. I can understand if somebody want to try this on statues but not on action figures and we already had problems with painted-over parts, so I can't understand how it was considered feasible. All these figures are ruined, even the ones that are still mint on card. As much we knew and appreciated that you tried to climb every mountain to keep the price down, the fans were just insulted when the Black Plastic Morbo was presented as a design choice to make the colors different and not as a cost-saving measure. It's like burnin' the entire house to disguise the fact that you burned down the couch, not every subscriber was happy to be treated like that. The other 9 mistakes, and other that happened in the line (I have a long list), are just "usual" mistakes, you can learn to live with them, for example the reversed shoulders, yes they are reversed but once it's on the shelf isn't hurtin' your eyes or, another example, you can use superglue on the Goddess, and so on... is it annoyin'? Yes and yes they are mistakes but, in someway, you can live with these mistakes, the figure aren't so blatantly visually ruined. With the Black Plastic Morbo it's totally different, the figures are chipped and ruined. Thank you again for your time, for your videos and for this wonderful and epic MOTU line that will go in history as the best one after the vintage.

The Black Plastic base color was something that engineering did to try and save on cost WITHOUT TELLING ME and I was not happy to only learn about it after the fact. @@spectorcreative1872 Were do I start? 1. Unintelligent use of tooling. They made 100% unique sculpts for figures like Triklops or Man-E-Faces that could have used a lot of shared parts driving costs up and the viability of the line. 2. Related to (1). They doubled the cost of Filmation figures when they could have kept it down for such simple sculpts lacking detail and paint. 3. They shipped Stridor WITHOUT A SHIPPING BOX causing many collectors to receive the figure trashed. A nightmare for MIB collectors. 4. Wrong height for Teela and Sorceress which they say is due to the prototypes legs being broken during shipping. And they didn't seem to notice (a defect which is like 100x more obvious than Roboto's swapped shoulder circuit details that only one person on Earth could notice). 5. Using plastic that breaks easily (Many figures arrived with broken legs and arms). 6. All Power Con Exclusives from 2017 having loose joints (you have Stratos abs shake just by holding him in the hand). 7. Shiny plastic all over the place. 8. Teela's face. ENOUGH SAID. 9. She-Ra. Oh my poor She-Ra. 10. The Sorceress' face. 11. Stuck Triklops visors. 12. Wrong wrist articulation on He-Man. I can go on but I am about to cry. NO SORRY. We were much better off with Scott. I admit I used to complain during the Matty era too but you only know the value of something or someone when you lose them. :(

@@spectorcreative1872 For me, it was non-removable armour, unswappable heads, and overly-wide hips. I did have a problem with CG Teela's hips being frozen, but I accidentally dropped her on the kitchen floor from a height of about four feet, and that seemed to free them up. (Not a recommended tip to fix her, though.)

I know it's not cool but, if you take the powers of apocalypse from X-Men 90s cartoon, mix with jafar from Aladdin(ending sorcerer) with a bit of dracula... That's how i picture king Hiss. Swap out the bat stuff for snakes. But the range of capability i feel would add to the original design and allow for cross play expansion. Especially if you consider him being able to see through the eyes of lesser snakes and what not. So he could come with a bucket of snakes, and a hydra like snake head. A full on giant snake with his human face hidden inside the mouth! Project out like alien! Creepy.

I love hearing the background stories on this stuff, but the visual padding is murder. Holding on a napkin with words written on it, or a small child wearing an elephant nose dilutes your work -- longer shots of what you're talking about, or perhaps some live footage of you speaking as "bumpers" would be much more effective. That's the stuff folks are here for. Decent effort.

Let's be honest. Practically every figure had an issue. When all is said and done, you, Scott, were just in over your head. The fact that you are still trying to justify things and in your explanations you still haven't changed your attitude after all these years proves that you simply were not up to the job. I am not hating, just being realistic. Everything great about this toy line was from everybody else apart from you. If anything, you held the line back. I love this line so much, it genuinely pained me watching you shoehorn yourself into every aspect of it. Instead of honouring the brand, you used it as a tool for self promotion and narcissism. These videos prove you still are. Shame on you.
