One thing I loved and hurted me the most about this anxiety scene is that, even anxiety starts tearing up the moment she realizes that everything she's been planning just didn't work out as she wanted it to, and THAT'S what real anxiety feels like. Everything you thought you had control over to make things right suddenly just crumbles down, and it's not due to something necessarily bad, but because you overthought too much to the point nothing seems right or in place, where you think it should be. I LOVED that they portrayed** (lmao "portrait" I hate autocorrect like 💀 anyways) anxiety as an antagonist more than a villain herself, because she was trying to plan getting the best out of a situation and trying to help Riley like everyone else, just that, again, anxiety makes you overthink things more than it should. What could do the trick, is trying to be are aware of it, and knowing when "planning for the future!" Is actually becoming in overthinking and making you overwhelmed about things that are not INDEED happening :) Such a wonderful movie ❤ the Pixar crew nailed it 👏

The thing about Anxiety being more of an antagonist for than a villain is one of my favourite things about this movie, showing that a good movie doesn’t have to a villain! Love this film to the max

This is Pixar's best sequel in a while and Disney needed a win like this, I love that Pixar shows that these masterpieces of cinema aren't kids movies (despite it being animated) that they show more human aspects such as mental health and that we need more joy in our hearts and that anxiety is good for a person because it protects people too it's Anxiety took it way to far well done Pixar :)

@@Isa_puggy When Anxiety is full tornado and Joy enters the eye of the storm, she says, "You don't get to choose who Riley is." Anxiety cannot respond because she's overcome and can't stop herself. Joy doesn't understand and asks, "Anxiety?". That's when you see the tear well up in Anxiety's eye and drips. It's powerful stuff. It breaks down a part of the human psyche that's hits so close to home it's painful and real.

I broke down crying for the entirety of this scene! I knew right away what Riley was experiencing. My family and friends (especially those who've walked away) don't understand what I mean when I say I'm having a panic attack. They counter with silly platitudes of, "This too shall pass," "Just be present," "Just calm down, "Working won't help anything," etc." These words are NOT helpful. I KNOW my body is overreacting, I KNOW my body needs to calm down. I KNOW this will pass. But I'm trying to just survive the moment. My panic is in hyper-drive and unfortunately it takes a while to ground myself. I felt this scene was so well done to help others be more compassionate and understanding. Thank you Pixar for such an excellent emotion-packed sequel!

This sequel is felt me crying like previous movie in 2015. It was all about Riley life, having some problem issues like for example Shinji Ikari goes mental issues. While Anxiety keeps having panic attack almost heart attack. It was all about having good or bad vibes about Riley life.

Inside Out 2 and Puss In Boots The Last Wish contain the two best and most accurate portrayals of an anxiety attack. Also I love the portrayal of Anxiety as someone who means well and can be helpful if she isn't allowed to take too much control. I love her design too, and particularly her huge mouth, which nicely symbolises the fact that being anxious makes you talk too much!

I don't have kids, so even though I greatly respect the work they do at Pixar, I have no horse in the race, so to speak. Having said that, this film (and possibly Deadpool 3) is re-invigorating the dying experience of theatre shows, which makes my old *ss very pleased.

The panic attack was realistic but not the end. A 13 year old girl experiencing something like this for the first time would never be able to catch herself. She would have walked out after 2 minutes. And completely collapsed on the ice. Either the coach would have caught her mentally on the bench. Or the paramedics on the ice. Stay realistic until the end or leave it alone. I would think twice about showing this to a child.
