i think you're missing some big points in your review 1. You didn't provide any constructive criticism as of why the scenes takes long, the scenes are so unfunny and why it will not move people. All i heard is just YOUR negative opinion about it without any proper explanation as to why that is. 2. You didn't factor that the first film was set 9 years ago, and you have watched more films and experienced more things. Maybe it moved the people around you before because you were actually in the bracket of the target audience of the film? 3. You are against of the film in the first place, as you've said "I wasn't originally a big fan of the first film" so you have a predominant expectations that the second movie would be worse while not actually taking in the good points of the film. As a content creator you must provide enough research and explanation for movie reviews because you generally influence people. And what you've provided is just a 3 minute long rant of the film without actually making points for your arguments, making your video... well.. not credible enough to be taken as a valid and sound opinion I hope this was taken as a constructive criticism to make appealing, well-thought out and better videos in the future

Most sequels from single movies aren't really that good tbh, my opinion though cuz most people think differently
@adrielperez38423 ай бұрын
@@mwjailbreaker0998 i agree! some sequels are sadly just made for cashgrabs. But there are a few that rose above that expectations. Kung fu panda, Shrek, Toy story are some good examples of it

I will certainly take that as constructive criticism & I really appreciate the positive approach & both trying to be nasty. There is WAY too much of that already. God bless & I hope to see ypu again one day!

@mediamadnessreviews I understand and respect your opinion though, just try to illustrate your points better so it doesn't look like you're doing it for the sake of being different. Have a great day too!

@andresdanielem I promise you that I don't. It may not be thoroughly filled in, but I can assure you that I legitimately didn't care for the film itself. We live in a society today that if you don't agree with the person in front of you, then you are lying. Nonetheless, thank you again.

i watched it. it was not thumbs down in the slightest

You are entitled to your opinion, even if it goes against the grain. Society makes people assume everyone has to think the same way, and if you don't - you're just seeking attention to get likes or views. It's ridiculous. Some people, like yourself, are using this platform to share your thoughts and opinions...which you are allowed to have. Doesn't matter if people agree or not. Keep making the great videos! I enjoy them!

heyy! greaattt video, just wanted to make a couple notes. I thought what you had to say was really interesting, but i think i just sorta disagree with.. everything. I think you might not have been the target audience or missed the deeper metaphors/meanings in both inside out 1 and 2, because i thought they were excellent movies (SOSOSO SORRY ABOUT ALL THE YAPPING UR ABOUT TO READ PLS FORGIVE ME) In the first movie, the writers focused mainly on masking/surpressing negative emotion (mainly sadness), and how drastic change can feel as a kid. If you remember, Joy LITERALLY PUT SADNESS IN A LITERAL CIRCLE LMFAO. Riley feels pressured, and afraid. So afraid, in fact, that she displays depressive symptoms (the console turning gray, as joy and sadness have been gone for so long) and tries to run away. Running away is what she believes will make her happy again. ONTO THE SECOND MOVIE.. you say that this is a "cookie cutter" coming-of-age film, because it "doesn't add anything special". This is where imma have to disagree the most. As someone who is a competitive honors/AP student, looking towards college, I can say with confidence that I heavily resonated with this movie. I often struggle with really bad anxiety when it comes to my academics, being liked, making friends, and fear of the future, so this movie HIT HARD. Inside Out 2 an impressive animated display of how anxiety feels when you transition into high school. Anxiety's character originally seems like a good thing for Riley; because she "plans for the future". And, in truth, that's what anxiety does. But anxiety makes up horrible scenarios that haunt you, makes you paranoid about every little thing you do. It's hard to let go of that overthinking, overcalculating habit, and i think that that moment where Joy reaches out towards anxiety's metaphorical panic attack was incredibly well represented. there are very few movies that can do that. ALSOALSO, you mention that Riley is sorta annoying in the second movie! and uhh, ykw if im gonna be real, i can't deny that -- but I think it was a good decision on the writers' part to make her that way. It shows how awkward puberty makes you. I personally didnt feel that it was *that* overexaggerated. freshmen act pretty weird. I can say that with like full confidence. I was a freshman like two years ago. i think it hurt because it felt like watching myself during my middle school era LMFAOO Anyways, criticisms aside, I think you did a great job. Just wanted to share my perspective!!

I really appreciate your take on this, but most of all, in a respectful manner. Thank you for your positivety & insight. I unfortunately had to rush this one out as I am currently away from the creative space for a week. I will come back with more filled in blanks next time. Anyways, thanks for the support & I hope to see you around. God bless 🙌

Personally I really really loved the movie! Spoilers in my comment by the way… But yes personally I loved it! I felt it was deeper than the first movie, and I liked the bigger messages... That sometimes anxiety as an emotion is not really the bad guy, or evil. As someone who’s struggled with chronic anxiety it really touched home, how when anxiety takes control of our life, we can end up freezing. And life feels like it goes into chaos. But I loved that it also touched on how anxiety is there to really protect us, that’s why anxiety exists (in the movie and in real life, in the mind). I love how even though the emotion anxiety in the film created chaos by kinda taking over Riley, they didn’t make the emotion to be the villain, but rather something calmed and controlled, rather than deeming it as “bad”, because she never meant to hurt Riley but only to protect her. We’re not meant to have anxiety control us, who we are and take over our lives. I also loved how the movie went into controlling who we are, accepting the parts of us we don’t really like or the parts of us that are less honorable, they still make us who we are, we aren’t perfect and not meant to be perfect. And mistakes and choices we’ve made aren’t meant to be ignored and forgotten but rather something we can build ourselves to be better from. Lastly, at the end, I loved how Joy didn’t force herself to be leading Riley’s life but rather knew she was meant to take control again because it’s what Riley wanted, Riley called out to herself, the power within herself, to be joyful. And that is a really beautiful message and symbolism, that Joy can be something we call from within.
