Disney and Pixar’s “Inside Out 2” returns to the mind of newly minted teenager Riley just as headquarters is undergoing a sudden demolition to make room for something entirely unexpected: new Emotions! Riley seems to have turned into a really kind girl in this movie! In the first movie she wasn't as happy, had a different personality, and got sad or mad throughout the movie. But in Inside Out 2 trailer it seem like she has a different personality and that she is more happy. She is definitely way nicer in this movie than the 1st one.

@@noahdennis5700 As they say, you can't have pure or true happiness without experiencing sadness. In this movie, Joy realizes the importance and essance of the other required emotions, including sadness which is why Riley is pretty genuine here.

I disagree, she was known as the happy girl throughout her whole childhood, in fact she’s referenced as the happy girl throughout the movie, (Her dad says this in that one scene after the argument before Goofball’s destruction, he says “Where’s my happy girl?” The mom even says this earlier in the film when she talks to Riley about the move and how much pressure her father’s under, she says “You know, through all this confusion, you’ve stayed.. well you’ve stayed our happy girl.” She also says “What do we do to deserve you?” Also it’s important to note that up until the scene at school, Riley had been doing her best to cope with the move in a positive way, even with her conflicting emotions about it, time and time again she’s show disgust, anger, fear, and sadness but she continued to smile, but eventually she does realize how much she’s lost in the move, and in a way begins to grieve everything lost behind. In the film, Riley does her best to conceal her emotions and hide behind the facade of joy, and her parents calling her happy girl throughout the film reinforces her joyful disposition, this is partially why she was so afraid to open up to her parents about her true feelings. Also, she was never really mean to begin with, she was just dealing with emotional issues as a result of her dealing with change, and not being able to cope in a healthy manner, she was a nice girl to begin with, she just needed some support from her parents. I’m somewhat confused with this take, Riley was joyful and positive in the first movie, in fact that’s partially what led to her emotional breakdown, trying to focus too much on the needs of others (her parents) and ignoring her own heartbreak at moving away from Minnesota, yes she does do some things like steal from her mother, and she’s drastically more moody and irritable, but that’s to be expected, at this point in the film Riley’s islands of personality are gone and she’s simply operating on autopilot, it makes sense that she’d act differently than she normally would, but none of those actions are a reflection of her herself, she wasn’t herself, that was the point, so we can’t really judge her actions in the movie as just simply being an unkind individual, it goes much deeper than that. To say that she was an unkind individual shows a lack of understanding of the plot of the first film, and Riley’s character arc in and of itself. Also the second movie isn’t even out yet, I don’t think we can make any definitive statements on if Riley is nice or not, I imagine she would be, as she’s shown to be a kindhearted person in general, but we don’t know yet because this is just a trailer.

I think the original comment tried to clarify that Riley was actually genuine with her emotions and she can actually feel proper delight without forcing it onto her. Maybe Riley’s mom makes Riley go to therapy and that’s how anxiety becomes weaker, and joy and the other emotions get free in the middle of the movie and try to overthrow anxiety by making Riley ask her mom about therapy or something🤷‍♀️

I'm waiting to see inside out 2. I'm hoping I can see inside out 2 at the movies. My favorite boy character on inside out is fear. I like fear because he's funny. My most favorite character on inside out is disgust. I like digust because she's funny and she makes me laugh. I also like joy, sadness, and anger. Anger si funny. Joy gets excited and is always happy. Sadness is sensitive and sad a lot. I can tell sadness is shy. Anger gets angry easily. Anger gets mad a lot. Anger gets irritated easily. Fear is cowardly, not brave, and is scared of a lot of things. Disgust gets disgusted easily. Disgust hates things grossing her out, vomiting, broccoli, and dead things. I'm guessing Joy's favorite color is yellow, sadness' favorite color is blue, anger's favorite color is red, disgust's favorite color is green, and fear's favorite color is purple. The new emotions from inside out 2 are anxiety, envy, embarrassment, and ennui. I'm guessing anxiety's favorite color is orange. I hate orange. Orange is not my color. I don't wear orange. I don't paint my nails orange. I don't dye my hair orange. I hate yellow. I don't wear yellow. I wear yellow sometimes but not too much. Yellow is really bright color and it's gross. I hate dark green. Dark green is a really dark color, it's the color of vomit, and it reminds me of someone getting sick. I hate hot pink. Hot pink is a really bright color. Hot pink is too bright. I would say I hate green. Because it's not my color, it's the color of boogers, baby poop, slime, and it's kind of a gross color. The only thing I like about green is it's a healthy color, it's a nature color, it's the color of plants, grass, leaves, and trees. The only greens I like are like green, neon green, and mint green. I don't hate pink, I don't like pink. I don't like pink. Because pink is really bright color, too bright for me, and it's a girly color. Most girly girls like pink. I'm guessing embarrassment's favorite color is pink. Pink is a girls color only. I heard boys can likes pink. But pink is a girls color. I don't like wearing pink. I don't like any other pinks. I don't like dark pink. I likes rose gold. Rose gold is pink. Rose gold is pink with gold. The only pinks I likes are pastel pink and light pink. I like pastel pink most of all. Pastel pink is the pink I like number one. I'm guessing Envy's favorite color is teal or cyan. I'm guessing Ennui's favorite color is indigo.

I would say Envy would be teal, bc cyan is probably more bluish and neon-colored, and Envy is a little too green-ish to be considered cyan, but then again I might be wrong. Idk lol, all I know is that she's adorable.
