"Artocracy in Tunisia" is the first of the INSIDE OUT series and took place just eighteen days after JR’s 2011 TED Talk.
Six photographers travelled the country to take pictures of « every day » Tunisians who represent the Tunisian diversity: men and women, young and old, rich and poor, civil servants, business people, manual workers, the unemployed, and farmers among them. This was a significant moment for a country that, until the revolution, could only display portraits of the ruler in the street.
