This video is awesome, deserves more views. On topic, though - I think that this stung so much because it's played twice, in both ice skating scenes. Once, it's played to evoke happiness, it's a happy memory. The second time it's played, though, you're reminded of the loss of good times. It's the same scene, the same music, but it stings so much more the second time.

Hello! I came here from the subreddit InsideOut and just wanted to tell you I am thankful for the video and analysis you put out! I cannot get the song out of my head and when I hear it, it brings me all these kinds of emotions (happy, sad, nostalgic, melancholy) and I couldn't pinpoint why. Your explanation made much sense thank you for able to explain it as beautifully as you did 😊

Thank you for the comment! I miss making these videos, so I love hearing every now and then that they were able to make a connection with someone. I haven't seen the sequel yet, but I think I'll be seeing it this weekend. Really looking forward to it, and seeing what new things they've done with the music too :)
