OMG, I loved learning this process. I often think if I had a do-over for undergraduate (physics) and graduate school (law/mba) I would do home economics/textile design or organizational change. What a wonderful place to work. I cannot believe that I can go to Home Goods or TJ Max and purchase a throw for under $100 when all of this work went into it. I love my Hermes throws but now want to purchase your products. The history is so beautiful. Love the swiss cross pattern in black and white the most. Fabulous that you donate to Native Americans. I'm part (my father looks like he is 1005) have never lived on a reservation but love these beautiful people.

Glad to learn some information about the company. My Dad gave my Husband and I the Chief Joseph Blanket in the Rosewood color. The colors, design, and pattern are stunning. Really can't wait to use it this winter . 😁

It be nice if they donated a portion of their profits to a Native American tribe or better still partnered with one - one closely linked to that particular tradition and have the young people intern and learn about their heritage, perhaps venturing into cottage industries exploiting other traditions, making them marketable and redesigning reservations in ways that pay homage to heritage, perhaps even restoring aspects of said heritage, especially those better for Mother Earth. Native have taken the brunt of ecological collapse and now it's time to turn things back.

We agree! That is why we have partnered for over 20 years with the American Indian College Fund to raise money for students at tribal colleges. In addition, we have worked with many Native American Artists over the years to create original artwork for blankets. For 2020 we have 10 Native American artists whose work is represented in our blanket collection. Sales of blankets also contribute to NARA (Native American Rehabilitation Association) and this year we will launch a new blanket to raise money for the Native American Veterans Memorial at the Smithsonian’s National Museum of Native Americans.

Their beautiful blankets may still be made in the US but their clothing is made in China. I just ordered a turtleneck sweater and saw that it was made in China. I had to send it back because of the unpleasant odor on it. They would not accept my review of the product on their website. So only positive reviews are accepted?!

Yes, almost all reviews are curated. Do not for one second believe any posted on their own sites. Garner your own by sleuthing forums; any source outside of their own site. Even if the review is operated by 3rd party; it's all curated and unbelievably biased. Find out for yourself, even after confirming your email for posting. Post a 5 star with something negative and true vs 1-3 star review with same content. None will post. Remove negative comment only and post, it'll stick. Pendleton has many issues. Their peoducts sell for themselves but everything surrounding them is nowhere near aligned with their flagship products. They are not amazon and rightfully so. Just like gov, companies will never say they are 100% in the wrong and make it right unless exposed. Same with politicians. It is what it is. Honesty and transparency must be forced.
