So many malls in Sengkang. There's Compass One, Rivervale Mall, Rivervale Plaza, Seletar Mall and now Sengkang Grand Mall. There's also a upcoming New Anchorvale Village.

Sengkang is malay word, from Lorong Sengkang which is next to Lorong Buangkok. Lorong means small alley

Sengkang = 盛港 = prosperous harbour. It used to be a fishing village.

Because "buang" itself not really a good term, hence they call it Sengkang instead. It's a pity, because the chinese translation of "Buangkok" essentially means "Thousand Nations". Not sure why "thousand" gets pronounced as "buang" in english.

Buangkok is associated with Mental Hospital or Mad people place in Hokkien. Better to use sengkang.

Sengkang g estate and Buangkok just side by side. Same like the Mrt. Buangkok Mrt exit has so many eateries. This mall make the place busier. So compass 1 is larger but waterway point largest

Sengkang Grand Mall is at Buangkok MRT, it also belongs to Sengkang boundary. We have a Buangkok Square (near IMH), so I guess not to confuse shoppers, named as Sengkang Grand Mall. Btw, your Singlish getting pro!! いいです!

Ojisan, try checking out Holland Village Mall, pet friendly Mall, loads of Japanese restaurants. Very atas, no such thing as Collins 😂

Juice Lab has poor customer service, inflexible & etc. They put ice to the top so if you ask for lesser ice, it will be 0.30 cents extra same goes with the lid. And they put words into our mouth, it’s the management policy for the extra charge for lid but Juice Lab rudely replied with bs. that it’s the government policy. From your subscriber & resident.
