So, I just googled Clarissa because I remember her reporting from Ukraine and speaking pretty good Russian. And now, here she is speaking Arabic! I am Lebanese. No Fareed you’re not an expert in this region. Syria is not similar to Iraq. You are dead wrong. You are comparing apples to oranges. They’re not going to revert to tribalism or ethnicities. Syria is now free of Iranian influence and the rule of a ruthless dictator who between him and his father ruled for 54 years. Syria has huge potential in this region. Its people are not extremists and its society is multicultural. They will revert back to their nature which an accepting, diverse and open nation and will embrace its Arabic heritage. It will take time but they will rebuild the country and have a new beginning.

Forty percent of them, by the way, have never been charged with physically harming another human being, and we’re less than 5 percent of the world’s population. “Approximately one million of these incarcerated men and women work for profit-making corporates in prison sweat shops. They can’t organise, they can’t protest their working conditions. Give voice to the Kurds. I do not see any "all eyes on the Kurds" going on on social media. Its sad how little attention the Kurds recieve.

Also there are literally large numbers if folks fleeing Syria in fear of the "rebels", would be nice to hear from them as well.
@nak15092 күн бұрын
The Kurds?😂 The Kurds are separatists and act as a US proxy, they only think about themselves. They don’t care about Syrians. All attention should go to the Sunni Muslim Syrians who have been oppressed for 50 years by Assad.

@nak15092 күн бұрын
@@franka2743 This is a lie 😂 The only Syrians fleeing are the ones who supported Bashar Al Assad in the killing and oppressing of the 70% Sunni Muslim population. These are people whom Bashar shared his power and wealth with while he excluded the rest of his country.

Most Syrians are good, honest, decent people who just want to live in peace after so much war. I really hope this new group coming in are the same and really want to rebuild the country and help their people. I just don't really know if that is their true goal or not.

It's a shame that many people will never know what happened to the missing from those prisons I understand why they would think there is a red zone to these places trying to keep hope their loved ones are still somewhere alive. I really hope Syria can find peace for their peoples sake.
