Taiwan has a shopping mall dedicated only to electronics & computers. It's unlike anything I've ever experienced before. It features 6 floors of shopping and is located near the Zhongxiao Xinsheng metro station.

There are two malls there. The one you went to(Guanghua Market) is the older one with smaller stores. Syntrend is the new one. They are connected by pedestrian overpass too .

This is great, but if you've never seen anything like this, you should see Tokyo, particularly Akihabara, where the whole neighborhood is dedicated to electronics. However, when I lived in Taiwan, they had great electronic stores, and I could buy Taiwanese made computers that were top notch but much cheaper than buying "brand" names, even though they built many of the brand name computers. So if you see things more expensive, you can find a Taiwanese made item that isn't "branded" that will be just as good or better but cheaper. If you were looking for refrigerators and appliances, they have different big stores for those.
