All my experiences since 2014 have been great. Lots of hard but satisfying work with great people. As for personality type, well, be a team player, solid work ethic, ability to lead & follow, be flexible-shit changes, as well as a desire to serve & help others and get shit done.

Put your hands in your pockets or something. Haha I wish I was able to get involved with TR. Disaster relief is a normal part of my job, so I can’t take off after a hurricane.

Does this organization receive tax funding? Are the "volunteers" paid in any way? If not, is anyone receiving a pay check? If so, how much?
@GriffinRampant17 жыл бұрын
volunteers are not "paid" but you are reimbursed for mileage depending on how long you serve on a deployment. Meals and lodging are covered on deployments and we usually sleep in gyms, classrooms, etc. TR is one of the most transparent organizations around these days. TR operates of donations and some grants. It is a 501c3

Home Depot, Farmers Insurance, Chive Charities, Stihl, WWP are big donors.

Team Rubicon’s funding comes from individual donors, corporations, foundations, trusts, and businesses. We don’t accept any public grants or government funding. In order for us to continue our mission of engaging veterans in disaster relief, we truly rely on individual donors like you. When you join the TR Nation, you’re making a big impact. We’re focused on becoming the greatest disaster response organization in the world. If for any reason you feel that we’re not making good on our promise and you’re unhappy with our work, we’ll refund your contribution, no questions asked. Just give us a call. Team Rubicon’s CFC number is #59162

You guys should figure out a way to have a decentralized power structure and command & control. You could be a lot more organic that way. But, its obviously a worthy endeavor. Who decides where volunteers go?
