So from what ive seen 37 deaths are directly linked to the stadiums. Qatar claiming 34 of which were “not work related” but many of the ones they claim weren’t work related are people collapsing (probably from the heat). I can see how they are trying to say its not work related but it most definitely is.

@@Minimus. that is Data from India, Bangladesh, Nepal and Sri Lanka. these death are nonproven to be related building the stadiums and are only numbers that these poeple have died in qatar since 2010. So far it is only 37 that are proven and 3 of them are concedered work related to the stadiums.

I love how the stadiums were made with sustainability in mind. Downsizing after the World Cup and ensuring their continued use is important in this time when white elephants are getting all the attention. Also, temporary stadiums are the future!

Sustainability in mind??? Where is that money coming from? Downsize all you want, you can't sustainably have 7 stadiums in a country with less than 3 million people. Temporary stadiums are not the future. The building costs are never gonna repay themselves for a handful of games, not to mention the human costs.

They should have build some Hotel Rooms too for the Fans coming from all around the World. Looking for hotel rooms for past few weeks and still there's nothing. Only there're 30000-50000 rooms all over qatar, when a single match itself has over 80000 spectators.

This entire World Cup set-up is a joke, and it’s only being held in Qatar because of FIFA corruption. Qatar leadership cared more about covering up the violent abuse of labourers than properly planning for this event.

Truly amazing stadiums. It's amazing what you can accomplish when you don't care about the 6,500 lives lost during construction. And that's just the ones they know about. I guess basic human rights haven't quite made it to that part of the world yet.
@alwansah2 жыл бұрын
Your racist view and generalisation shows that you know nothing about human rights, you're disrespecting everyone living on that part of the world. You (western people) think you're the only knows what human rights are but in fact you only know your benefits.
@gerdnonneman9172 жыл бұрын
the 6,500 figure turns out NOT to be those "lost during world cup stadium construction": instead, these were simply the total (embassy-supplied) numbers of deaths among the total population of 5 south-Asian nationalities (total 1.4 million, and a majority of which didn't even work in the construction sector at all, let alone World Cup stadiums - 1000s instead working as doctors, lawyers, managers, teachers, nurses, drivers, shopkeepers, accountants, or not at all, as in children, spouses, dependent old-age parents) over a 10-year period. At 650 per year, that's in fact a VERY low mortality rate compared with, for instance, the UK, Germany, the US etc. Even when you only take the UK's 20-64 working-age population, to take account of the different age distribution in the migrant population, the mortality rate is no higher in the case of Qatar.

When these Bedouin arabs get a chance to showcase to the world in order to host and put on a show for a major world sporting event they literally do go all out, no holds barred attitude, no one can compete with them, with all the wealth from the black gold they have been blessed with by Allah swt, and as we all know this sporting event, the fifa world cup is by far the biggest sporting event in the world, and being the first Muslim/Arab country, a little gulf nation in the UAE, they knew they had to make a statement, and a statement it is
