That is an awesome series! I loved the two older gentlemen who worked together, I think Paul Bowhill is one, and he's so sweet. They were so calm, but persistent. I even saw Paul pay for a night in a motel for a woman with young children, or he'll offer to put the kettle on so they can sit down and work out a payment plan. He's a gem.

Parents were landlords. Lots of people view us as evil people. The laws favor the tenants. With dealing with a lot of B.S. and stress of being a landlord. I’ve sold the properties, paid off the debts and now make better ROI with basic investments. It took us over a year to kick out a methhead. Some tenants were good, some show their true colors later on.

The lady being evicted with her partner and has kids can't pay what she owes but can wear a thick gold chain that would cost quite a bit. Sell that and pay the guy what you owe. Plus clean your mess as well. Disgusting way to live especially with kids. Rubbish thrown out back and mould everywhere.

Wearing real gold (if you can call ‘9 carat gold’ real gold) chains, rings, earrings, bracelets, etc. has always been very, very popular for the British working (or in her case, not working) class. From when I was a kid in the 70’s up until I left England in the 90’s, a majority of women and many men wore multiple chains, earrings, rings, etc. They were all real then. I don’t think it’s changed that much.

Wow I live in Canada 🇨🇦 and this is eye opening to me in the sense that the amount of verbal abuse that these court appointed people take is unbelievable!!!!!!!!…. Not to mention the fact that they could be stabbed or in some cases shot !!!!!!!….i hope that they get paid well for this kind of job!!!!!…..I feel for the individuals that are in a bad way but at the end of the day it is what it is!!!!!!!…. I used to work with bailiffs. They visit the same people every year. These people pay massive charges on the debt, but cannot see it. And they have all the luxury items but will not sell anything. For instance two cars! So the wife can go shopping!!!

their high court enforcers are not equipped with tasers and firearms to protect them in the event of an out-of-control situation because their work is high risk unlike in the USA all enforcers, whether police or others, have firearms and tasers to do this kind of dangerous work.

I really have more questions before watching the complete episode. That place where the pregnant lady and family lived must have been bad for their health with all of that mold on the walls and ceilings. And for the life of me I can't believe that the collector who bent down to pick up that debtors credit card did it without being cautious enough that, that debtors didn't hit him in the head with that glass bottle. If you owe money and can't pay then don't ignore it, it's not going to go away. Contact who you need to and pay what you can but be prepared to have your belongings taken. Its a harsh situation but its reality.
