i relate to this a lot. my whole life i've loved music, and as a child i played instruments, but stopped for a good decade or so. i guess it was fear, or shame. i never stopped loving music. but failure kept me away from creating it. and i always thought, well, in another reality, maybe i'm a musician, maybe i play guitar. and then i was like, wait. why in another reality when i've got this one and i have control over my actions? when i can do anything? and so i did. and it's been great. and i guess i found my river, too. it's never too late. :)

I'd love to hear some of what you've created. That's been my exact experience actually...thinking I needed to quit this one thing I loved because I was afraid or ashamed, only to discover this reality IS the only one I know and the only one I got, so I might as well be embarrassing in it. We only got this one shot.

i added your song 'a little bit' to my playlist a while ago. usually i add songs without listening to them and just wait for them to come on bc listening feels to forced sometimes. and i gotta tell you that one's a good ass song that i genuinely liked a lot. will listen to river next ;)
