Lim is a Chinese/Korean last name. They weren't celebrating the child's 99th day. They were celebrating his 100th day. 100 day celebrations are a big deal in Chinese and Korean culture. While the party she threw was truly extravagant, it's not something out of the ordinary to throw a party for the event.
@aiying20706 жыл бұрын
Lauren S Actually over here, you don't typically celebrate a child's 100th day, but rather a month-old celebration meant to introduce the child to friends and relatives. Lim is definitely a Chinese last name in this case :)
@armagaeddon6 жыл бұрын
Lim is a Chinese last name, predominantly seen around South East Asia due to dialect group, never Korean. Koreans usually go with Lee and Taiwanese, Lin. Also, celebration of 100th day for babies are more often among Taiwanese or Chinese Nationals, not in South East Asia, and definitely not common in Singapore.

But please don't hit the whole boat with a stick cause many others I met are well behaved and compassionate. A piece of advice to those who are having the high attitude of characteristic - the flower will not be red forever. I seen some rich people went down and had no friends after that cause their sucked up attitude made them enemy of all. May the LOVE be with you always!
@aptycal97795 жыл бұрын
Okay but the word “fancy” and “rich kids” is overused as f*ck here. Also, I’d just like to state that all the samples they used here were frickin gaudy instagram posts. The infinity pool belongs to MBS, not the dude. Cars are expensive, but middle to mid-upper class usually own one or more. A lot of the material used were stock photos, and people generally don’t even care what brand you’re shoes are or what you carry and adorn yourself with here. Jeez, we’re pretty relaxed and not all about the big houses and fancy clothes. People just wear slippers out for dinner and not post pictures of them all over instagram. Could I just add that rich people do not automatically have the mindset of “we have all the money in the world to spend, no need to save”? Those who are rich do care about education and send their children to prestigious top schools, public, private or international. Even so, the most hardcore flaunting you see there are just along the lines of “got the limited edition Nike shoes in right now!” or “switched to a new wallet, got bored to that old Coach one” (yeah I have a friend who pulls this sort of stuff every once in a while) which is honestly not that bad? Not too the level of ridiculousness you saw in like a handful of people’s instagrams but yeah, sure, whatever you say. Clearly Talko did some quality research.

You may not be "super" rich, but you are rich, there's no disputing that. Simply the bills you pay are more than how much many people earn in a month. To these same people, a million dollar house is a pipe dream. You should be grateful for the home you own and not lament the hardships, but appreciate the privileges you have.
