listening to ian's words, no matter the years, goes so far beyond the awkward charisma he radiates-- it's the healing comfort & INSPIRATION he gifts to dreamers♡ the epitome of what a kindhearted artist and human being should be, ian embodies this fully. organically creating this multiverse of mito & bravely showing his scars, facing his mental health demons while encouraging others to do the same. above all else, bringing to life his vision by his one man POWERHOUSE talents yet blessed with the family that is DPR ♡ there is just truly no one doing it like this crew. to have shared in on their journey over these beautiful years has been Overwhelming to say the least, but one thing is certain. be it DPR Ian, Rome, Barom Yu or Christian WE LOVE EVERY SINGLE RAW, HAUNTINGLY BEAUTIFUL FRAGMENT OF YOU!! that cinematic eye + multifaceted artistry included, ALWAYS. tminus 6 hours T_T cannot wait for the laughs that will unfold within pt 2 soon!! thank you sincerely for this, as he deserves infinite platforms for his craft and mind!!

I found Ian during my first manic episode and the first mv I ever watched of his was nerves. Ever since then, him and his music has just felt like a safe place and sometimes gives me the answers I'm looking for when I feel a certain emotion or feeling I haven't felt before. There is no one like Christian Yu who can portray mental illness and other issues on that line like he does. Thanks to him I am able to somewhat cope through episodes and also somewhat get some emotions back when I am numb.

Christian’s art does really mean a lot for us really. I really wish Ian could hear this but his music video “Nerves” (I know it is a lil old but) means so much to me. And especially last year when I was severely depressed I got so emotional seeing that music video because of how accurate it felt. From his facial expression to the shivering to the messed hair and rain felt so right. It felt like he depicted depression so well so perfectly. I could feel the cold in the video. Love him so much🤍

Again, this dude never ceases to amaze me. Just listening to him talk and explain all of the little intricate details, behind the scenes, and all of the stories each scene holds is just so fascinating and enticing to learn about and hear. He could make a whole Ted Talk on just one single music video or his whole album even, and I would be immersed in every second of it. Thank you so much Jre for allowing this opportunity for him to share things he hasn't before and for allowing us to see a different/ deeper insight into his mind.

After listening to the album countless times, it's not that my favorite songs change, more so I find new songs to grow attached to and enjoy the more I listen to them. It used to be just Ballroom Extravaganza, Sometimes I'm, Avalon, and Winterfall, but now Miss Understood, Mr.Insanity, Merry Go, and Seraph have made their appearance on the list as well. At this point, it's irrelevant or absurd, in a way, for me to name my favorite songs off the album as I'd just name over half the album.

uhhhh so hard to choose just one favorite, but I’m gonna go with Ribbon. I like Ian because he can put into words and images what I cannot. I’m also a bipolar and I really admire how he use something so damaging as bipolar disorder in his favor, how he channel those sides of him into art, into something that help and inspire other people, especially myself. It makes me wonder what I can create channeling my other sides, you know? He’s amazing and all round artist, seems like a really nice human being, works so hard to get what he wants, his songs and mvs are awesome and touch my soul like no other.

Being honest, I love all the songs on the MIITO album, I’ve listened to it so much that I know all the lyrics to each album - but one songs that personally sticks with me has to be Merry Go, maybe it’s the part where it says “night drives, session 1, part 2”, or it could be the lyrics themselves resonate with me and my relationships, or it could just be the vibes, but this song seems to pull on my heartstrings, it’s one of the songs that I’d play when I’m driving home with the windows open. I like DPR Ian is because he came at confusing time in my life, I saw his interview with Zach Sang at 3 am, and after listening to that I listened to the album, and it was like euphoric, connecting all the nuances that without understanding the storyline behind it, that made the meaning so much stronger. His music has two meanings, one that matches the mito lore and one that ties in to his actual life, and that in itself has made it so amazing. I think DPR Ian and the MIITO lore came at the perfect time in my life, whether it be the universe’s sign to me or it’s pure coincidence, I’m happy with it either way.

I can't tell often enough how Much I adore Ian. His Personality is just so heartwarming and beautiful. The way he talks so open about his condition and how it influences his work ist just so faszinating. i discovered ian through no blueberries in 2020. i really liked the song and listened to it on repeat but as the time went by i forgot about him. then i came across mito album in april 2021 and been following him, as well as the rest of the dprs since. i’ve watched all the content they’ve put out, took a day off of school when a new album/single was to came out just so i could make a ‘me’ day and vibe to the song/s. i’ve been in love especially with ians music since i know how he suffers from a mental illness as well as i do. i’ve been taking strong medication since my childhood and got bullied for it but now that i see him, making something so graceful from it it keeps me going. i always thought of saying ’the music saved my life’ is really exaggerating but now, that i found his music, i can relate to it, 100%. the best thing is that i never get bored of his music, even if i listen to the album 7x on repeat(literally the whole album all the time, although i do have a daily favorites, todays calico). unfortunately i can’t attend any of his concerts because of school, neither can i buy his album because i couldn’t find any website that had, other than amazon from which the shipping would cost me 2x more than the album with customs and everything so i hope the universe will be on my side for once and let me get the best album in the history of music :)

my fav song music wise is winterfall, because i can relate to it & makes me clear my head and be myself. even while walking or driving, whenever the song comes on i feel comfortable & i haven't felt that in a while. my fav song lyrics wise is sometimes i'm, because i love honesty and raw emotions. its very creative and i like how it translates into the music and the album. the reason why i like dpr ian is bc he is real, his emotions are real and he isnt afraid to show it whether it is through music, live videos or videos like this. he is just raw & thats what makes him impactfull and helping other people out music wise and person wise. i've struggled with borderline myself and his music, interviews and explanation videos made me comfortable. comfortable in not being someone else that was more perfect bc i struggle. i am trying to be myself now and im open to learn and accept feelings and emotions.

My ultimate fav song in his album is Calico. The beats just hits different to me, the bass on the ending part was just *chef's kiss* and I listened it on repeat (even after watching this video lol). Reason why I liked DPR IAN is because his songs is like a sudden inspiration to me, especially towards my art journey. I have been drawing since my childhood and once I was getting older and older, my motivation and creativity is slowly disappearing which led me to quit art for a long time. Thanks to my friend, I got introduced by DPR IAN's music and boy oh boy, my love for art just went straight back at me and now I'm determined to myself to do art and planning to be an Art Curator in the future. Istg if I met Ian personally, I would thank him again and again because he changed my life.

From then on I started learning about Ian's story(I still can't believe he was Rome from CClown - the little day-to-day life videos he used to film with the group were the best thing lol) , about the music (I watched the mvs God knows how many times). I just wanted to thank you for doing all that you do to introduce new music to the community and to people who just wanted to learn and be exposed to new things. So far the songs that I'm pretty much addicted to is Seraph, Mood and Ribbon also Sometimes I, and Merry-go (I think they're all in the top replay songs on my Spotify list lolz). Well tbh i love the whole album but there's something about Merry Go that makes me feel like ''hey, that's me'' and that's why i love it so much. I like Ian for the way he can capture everything he feels and lives and transform it into art, an art that in one way or another we as fans can identify with in different ways but in a similar kind at the same time. He makes different types of art, and although they have their differences one can notice the harmony and his essence in them. He's one of my greatest sources of inspiration. :)

His universe is sooo complicated I'm glad ian's explaining it in detail! I can't believe he did such a complex stunt! another talent under his sleeve! Love the fact that he used tiger eyes. I wonder if the knife was in 3D when it was floating 🤔 And Honestly I totally get it and understand if he can't release mito movie part 2 if it's because of health concerns but the fact that he said in is last live that his fans won't be interested in it anymore????? like HELLO???? it's like a famous Director saying "yeah I'm not sure the fans want a 2nd Batman or a 2nd Dune movie" Like ???? Of course we are here for the next masterpiece!!! dreamers are not going away even if ian releases it next year lol!!

Bruh these interviews are so insightful I can't wait for your series with Jackson Wang. But back to DPR Ian, this man is so freaking creative, it blows me away. Beautiful inside out. So in that light, THEORY TIME! Ian enters that room and he is surprised because even when he is running away, what he sees is Mito. Ian has been very open about these albums being released in retrospect, and his first album goes after this one and it also represents Ian making peace with Mito and accepting it is a part of him he can't run from, SO back to my theory, it makes sense that he is surprised to see Mito cause he is running a way from him. So it's like going around in circles. Also, I think mister insanity is trying to close the box, Ian already explained the blob of colors were supposed to be on Mito's scene as well, so Mr. Insanity is that part of Ian driving him insane, part by trying to suppress Mito and that side of him, so those colors are "Ian's true colors" because Mito is part of him which later on he comes to accept. Again this is just my perspective, I hope you guys enjoy it!
