Inside the Mind of Splatoon 3 Tacticooler Users

The Splatoon 3 Tacticooler is a support special that grants various buffs to you and your teammates through little drinks. These buffs increase your movement speed, your super jump speed, and drastically reduce the amount of time it takes for you to respawn. If you have 1 or 2 of these on your team, they can make sure your team never spends too much time out of the game. There's a bunch of weapons with this handy special from the N-Zap 85 to the Snipewriter 5-H. What main or special weapon would you like me to cover next? Honestly, as a Tacticooler main myself: spot on. Just a couple of corrections: Special Charge Up is less important than Special Power Up. Longer drink uptimes mean you can deploy your dispenser in safer areas while still reaping full benefits . . . though, I will fully admit to sometimes throwing it somewhere just because I want my teammates to go there. Even if that sometimes includes the enemy's side of the map. You do what you can when you're a free agent. Also, Ink Armor? Really? *That's* your GOAT support Special, and not the OG Bubbler which Ink Armor was a cheap imitation of?

3:53 Respawn Punisher shouldn’t work on Tacticooler buffs, ever since a patch a while ago. What happened is that, because of latency, the Tentatek Splattershot player killed you RIGHT BEFORE you actually consumed the drink, thus not activating the drink’s effect. That happened to me, sometimes. You are telling outdated information in this video.

No, there still is a respawn punishing effect. In that clip I just slowed down the footage so you can see the icon lol. It's a small effect but you take almost a second longer to respawn and lose one tick on your special gauge.

Special power up is also amazing for it. With one pure gear of Special power up, the duration is increased from 19 seconds to 24 seconds for the buffs, and it affects your whole team. Just think about it. 24 seconds of buffs for anyone who grabs the drink is crazy good. Pair that with a good painting weapon and special charge up, and your team will basically have permanent Tacticooler.

Remember, if the cooler is on the enemy team, it’ll be placed in the most advantageous positions. If it’s on your team, the only thing going on in their head is the cooler jingle.

Tac is easily one of the most fun specials in the game, and I hate how so many weapons with it are considered weak. The dynamo is one of my favorite kits it’s ever gotten, and I’ve played with them all!
