I lived in the Sunset District in the early 90's. We were 2 blocks away from Golden Gate Park. We had a 2nd story condo that had huge bay windows and we could see the beach. The neighborhood was wonderful and everyone was amazingly friendly. We had everything right there. The mom and pop grocery store was caddy corner from us. There was a pizza place across from the grocery store that we stole toilet paper from the night we moved in because we had forgotten and nothing was open. Lol. We were in our early twenties. You can't fault us there. There waa a sports bar below us a a Double Rainbow a few shops down where I had my first cappuccino. We paid $725. a month in rent for a two bedroom two full bath condo. My boyfriend was an accountant and I worked at Chanel on Geary St. It was such a fun time and I loved the city.. So many thing's have changed. I haven't been to SF in over a decade. I'm splitting my time between my home in the Sequoia National Forest and place in Pismo Beach now. I'll always have fond memories of my time in San Francisco. It will always have my heart.❤

This was great. The walking tour of the commercial corridor was also very helpful.

I used to service work in a home in Pacific Terrace the first time I was in it blew my mind that the kitchen had more square feet than my house.

I heard the local gossip that it was renamed Pickle Ball Heights and Pacific Street at Arguello is being rebranded as Pickle Lane. 🥒🎾🐺

from my experience sf is very expensive but lacks supercars, is it perhaps because of old money and class? i.e not the need to show off

You're right the vast majority of the people who live in SF are not flashy. It's a really cool part of the culture actually. There is A LOT of NEW money, and I often think when one person makes it super rich but not all their friends do, they just want to blend in with their current friends a bit and just be "normal." Also, I think they are often (but not always) putting money into various social initiatives and things like that.
