The landscaping at this place is stunning. I am a sucker for Palm trees and cacti (hence why i call AZ my home now). I would totally stay there rather than anywhere on the strip. what a beautiful hotel

To all locals and visitors. The Durango is probably the nicest off strip property in Las Vegas. It can’t be expressed enough how “Palm springs shiek” the place is! And I can’t believe the selection of places to eat are fabulous….the cookie bar with the best one of a kind cookies that are huge for less than $5.00, noddle place where they make noodles in the window, the pizza is the best starting at $6.00, ice cream, retro hamburger place and all prices are practically half what you’d expect or what we are accustomed to paying in a Caesars or MGM property. The selection of everything is beyond gorgeous and unique.

@@craigjacobson3832 That’s true. I’m hoping not because most of the prices are on the menu boards, menus, etc permanent. It will cost a lot to change out all the prices. I’ve been to several casino openings (Resort Workd, Virgin, Circa and all those prices for food, etc were high on day one).

One of the things I’ve always personally liked about the strip is the walking proximity to other casinos besides the one Im staying at. It will be interesting to see if these stand alone casinos can draw significant amounts of tourist and not just locals.

Hi Norma, great video. The new Durango Hotel and Casino looks so beautiful. The Summer House looks like a nice place to try, and the drinks and your crispy fish tacos look good. The pizza, burger, and frozen custards were all so reasonable priced. I will have to check out the Durango next year during one of my trips to Vegas. It was nice seeing Lydia and Jay in your video. It looks like a 1990s Hotel , The rooms are Cramped, Other than that its OK 👍.. Not Great or amazing just OK, And STOP signing up for Players Cards they Sell & Share your Information. And offer very little to you . They should be paying Us to use the Cards .

I just checked rates for May, 2024. Without player's club, full price $400/night? I can go to Delano and get comped or pay a full rate of about $200/night for 2 room, 1 1/2 bath suite.

That's insane, $450 a night in summer. Will never be staying there. That's nearly twice the price of Bellagio. But we'll go for cocktails and lunch and then dinner. It's a beautiful resort! Then will Lyft it back to Mirage. Would love to try the pool in summer, but wouldn't pay those room prices.

You must try the deviled eggs at Summer House and the chocolate chip cookies! We were there opening night too. Very impressed with the design, food choices and the color scheme. Very classy. Curious how it rates compared to Fountain Bleu.
