Beautiful place. Small doors were deliberately created so that the person coming through could be seen and not charge in. If it was an enemy,they could be captured or killed before they entered the room or house. The size of door makes it difficult for more than 1 person to enter and also they have to enter slowly. Gives occupants time to prepare for who is arriving....friend or foe. If you do return to Pakistan, would love if you get chance, to visit Taxila. It has one of the oldest if not oldest remnants on earths.

This is a fortress were where armies gathered to fight the invaders.. Therefore, the windows were very narrow and the doors were low in order to mak it difficult fo the invaders to get in, especially the cavaliers In Lebanon, all the ancient monasteries and churches used the same architecture to protect the priests and monks from the Ottomans who were committing massacres against Christians in Lebanon. the castles must have secret pathways to lead the pakistanis to escape . as you can see these forts are biult on very strategic summits to allow the defending army to see the ennemies
