@Khalifa's Koffee; I find it funny that you would blame the downfall of an empire on a woman that had nothing to do with it. I've watched many a documentary on the Ottoman Empire and it didn't collapse because of Hürrem, the empire fell due to poor management and lack of upkeep(making sure that everything was ship shape and would succeed should a battle occur). The golden age of the empire was when Suleiman was in reign. After he died and it went to Selim, the empire slowly began to crumble. Citing that the janissaries turned solely because of a woman is a ridiculous statement as well. No offense but Hürrem didn't cause the empire to fall. Greed and idiocy on the Sultan's part did. The empire was nearly bankrupted by its dissolution. But yes, blame Hürrem.

@@zofarazmi6436 yeah i am from Turkey . And definitely that outfit is not true clothes. Ottoman was Muslim .And they act according to Qur'an. Sultan's actions , his life style was firstly according to şeriat (Qur'an laws) after that it was Sultan's decision. Sultan's didn't have right to act against Qur'an. And that clothes and that bad actions is definitely not true. You can find documents about their life. Also you can find old clothes in museums. That tv series was made by non-muslim and anti-muslim people. They try to show how "bad" and "not religious" was Ottoman . Even producers said it was their imagination. And about "Diriliş Ertuğrul" i didnt watch it but i heard it is much more close to reality since governmentade a step to understand our history. İ can't say it is totally accurate but if you want to learn Turkish history i recommend to watch. But don't forget they are just shows. They could change something little. İ didn't watch it but for example all Muslim women's must have wear hijab. İ don't know if Ertuğrul did it right. You can watch it but when you feel suspicious look at documents from reliable sources. (Don't recommend Vikipedia since they didn't even allowed here from our government after sharing wrong information)

I have been there before but it seems the latest renovations have taken it to its original beauty even more! In this palace there many gorgeous areas and I feel like harem is actually not even in the top 3 areas in my opinion. The museum that displays the treasures and artifacts of the sultans was great. Hope you can share that with everybody too.

I always thought that it was a happy and luxurious life for the palace people's, but it wasn't , they had struggled so much to get to this point, I felt very much worried and sorry for all of them But I want to feel that going to this palace. every new sultan made his own part , so it looks a bit strange but Historical you can Read the mind and wishes of each Sultan , the early ones had a fable for roman architecture and the latest one were in to French Buildings , it was also forbidden for the public only the Sultan Family and the employee`s , there is a place called Divan where Senators came togheter with the Sultan and managed the needs of the Empire .
