Wow London really is looking festive now. Today I pop down to Covent Garden to see all the decorations, the trees and the Christmas market. Then over to the famous luxury hotel the Savoy to see their beautiful tree and all the trimmings! Then along to Somerset House, ice skating anyone?

My late husband took me to London in 1999 for 5 days. Trip of a lifetime for us. We’re from Pennsylvania. So, we visited Convent Garden. Bought a teapot at Whittard’s which has graced my kitchen counter ever since. Always enjoy seeing the beautiful Christmas decorations throughout London every year. Each year gets better. I don't know why you think this wasn't Christmassey - it was perfect! I love Covent Garden, crowds and all, and it looks great. I'm not sure I could have made it through this Christmas without your wonderful vlogs. It's so very different here in the US, without much Christmas spirit, and biased as I may be, I think London is absolutely fabulous at Christmas. If I forget to say it - have a very Happy Christmas, and I hope you get to spend it with family. You are truly the best there is - and you bring such joy to this Londoner so far away from home.

I wish they had left Covent Garden as it was in the 1950s, with the old market still in place. I know! I know! Cities cannot stand still. They grow, they develop, they renew. Even so, that is one aspect of London which I wish had never changed. Thank you for the video!

Lovely vlog of some of my favourite places. For some reason, as soon as I arrive, I go straight to Covent Garden! I love the tea shop called Mariage Frères on King Street. They have about 2000 types of tea and use it in their food menu. I love Ladurée as well. Their hot chocolate, served in a silver jug, is absolutely amazing! I also love the Savoy. We had afternoon tea there just before lockdown, and it was superb, I'd definitely go again. Did you know, the driveway bit up to the door is the only place in England where you drive on the right?!

I know what baubles are, I just think of how awkward the word is for me to say. Maybe it is for all Americans. It’s actually quite difficult, it makes my mouth cramp. 😆 I loved the Savoy! The art deco style, the painting of the the ladies, the ceiling in the tea room, the tree with the Holly and the ivy sheet music, the hotel model, etc. 😍

The Coal Hole is my fave pub in London. My friend who used to work on Strand and his work mates would go there, so it was the first time about 14 years ago that I went to a pub with locals and hung around for hours by the fire place and had such a great time. I make sure to go every time I'm in the city (and they have damn fine fish and chips, I might add). 🤤😍

Thanks for the trip around Covent Garden. I used to work in a shop in the Piazza, and at Christmas it really was hard work. You just didn't notice all the festivities and decorations. So it's nice to see what it's like now. Loved the Savoy too, and the Coal Hole - used to see bands there back in the 80s! Cheers, Hannah!

Love Covent Garden and going for tea at the Savoy. I also love the pop up restaurants inside of Somerset House that they had one Christmas put on my Fortnum and Mason and also watching people ice skating, so lovely. Do you ever go to Allies Antique Market. I understand it is interesting. Do love going to the Cafe Royale Hotel at Christmas for tea and a lovely sweet. See the Garden Museum is a pleasant place to spend time and then we headed ver the Royal Horseguards Hotel for lunch. London is magical at Christmas.

I have loved all your London videos Hannah, but especially this one at Covent Garden. My friend and I always came to CG if we came up to London.
