11 months - no video :( This series helped me a lot in my early days. Checked back on it to see this one as the only new one, heard you saying there would be a next one. And now there isn't. I really enjoyed the series and it helped me a lot. Sad to have it die like this, saying there would be a new one but 11 months later nothing.

One thing I like to do with the sploosh o matic is when the other team has you pushed all the way back to your area, you throw a curling bomb out with ninja squid you follow it. Get all the way to the other side as far as you can and start inking. The other team will be pushed down into your end. From there, your teammates can jump to you to escape the hostage situation and start inking again. This also prevents the other team from retreating too much.

Thank you for making this series! It’s extremely helpful. I never realized it was harmful to say how bad I was doing. I knew about focusing on making yourself better than asking why my teammates are sucking, but it’s still a bad habit. This is an amazing video that goes into detail about when to and how push the objective. This will be very useful in helping get better so I can eventually get to X rank. I’ve been getting better thanks to yours and DUDE’s videos. I finally got to S and S+ for the first time thanks to them. I don’t know if you realize how helpful they are, but they’re amazing, so thanks! Please keep making more like this! 👍🏾

I watch a lot of DUDE's streams and I noticed he's a very aggressive aimer and only sometimes sharks to keep a lookout i noticed I did the same when using shooters and other class you can be aggressive with and now I shark more and look at the position were in and do things that help out the situation and now I win more ranked battles awareness is key and so is smarts it's not always about gunplay.

Wow, I didn't notice I did this?! I'm a carbon roller main so when everyone is gone I back off because I will die next alone. And I already knew that when some people end up splating themselves at the same time sometimes the trade off is NOT equal because of the weapon. I can't push back, its hard. I play defense. So when my team gets killed a lot I get frustrated a little because that mean no ink for to shark in. My teammates also create a destruction so sneaking up is made a bit more easy.

See this stuff seems like common sense, but I have seen my teammate on the other side of the map straight take on 3 people, while two of my team are dead. Great video, very well articulated.

Ryan DeLong yeah I mean mini pushes are good but stuff like that is just idiotic Edit: actually unless they got goofed by lag because you can get a kill but the enemy won't go down and more show up could and lead to a 3v1.

You emphasised in the video that taking out the backliner is key. If I'm a front or mid liner, would you say forcing a trade with the enemy backliner is a good idea when pushing? Or is self preservation always more important?

As midliner/frontliner, you have to be careful trying to take out the backliner, since they out range you naturally, along with having to get through their front line as well. When pushing, in a solo environment try and leave the backliner to your own backliner, or at the least see if you can provide a distraction so you can move in closer./ Self preservation is important in the game as a whole, so I'd advise waiting until you're not in the backliners notice, and swing around, or using your special whether it's inkket to get in their face and kill them, or tenta missiles to get them to back off.

I’m early for one time in my lyfe yayyyy! I’m a Midliner player and can’t use backline for my life so I love seeing people play backline :3. If Splatoon was a subject in school you’d be a great teacher! Edit: right after inkstorm too.

But I'm aware of how many people are alive on each side, 3 are gone on the enemy and we have all 4, 1 person is alive but kills 2 of my people, it gets me so frustrated as it's so random in Soloq
