Internationally known artist, Nick Sider, is a self-taught acrylic painter, based out of New York City. Since the age of 5, Sider knew he wanted to be a painter. He grew up with a love and passion for art but decided to pursue other interests after leaving high school. At the age of 25, Sider decided to quit his job, teaching himself to paint, and begin to pursue his childhood dream of becoming an artist.

Your work is incredible, I love drawing but I never used colors, I've just brought some acrylics and I am looking forward to experiment and practice. I was looking for some tigers photos on Pinterest and I found your work, very inspiring. I love the realistic style. Could please give have any tips to someone like myself that has to start painting with acrylics? Do you use gesso primer on your canvas first before you start painting?
