I think this tank the MK IV version is iconic and should be rememberd as being the first tank to knock out anohter enemy tank the German A7V. And the last comment is very important its all about the crew and thier ability to use the tank correctly a good crew. Great vid big thumbs up from me.

These tanks are way bigger than they appear in pictures. There's one that was recently restored and put on display at Rock Island and I was shocked how large it is up close.

The perfect vehicle to use during a zombie apocalypse. There's no greater feeling than fighting zombies on a moving tank as you traverse the battlefield with a horde of zombies chasing after you. This guy knows what I'm talking about 10:38.

Hi Richard, I wonder that if there is any functional Mark tank? You know, if i remembered right, there used to be a film "War Horse" and there was a Mark tank scene, I don't know if that tank is just a replica for filming or not but it's very real, like a functional Mark tank.

Hi Lee - Indeed the War Horse Replica is at the Tank Museum and featured in this video (Big Brute) there are a few other replicas around, as for the real deal I don't know of any originals that run.

There are many great Tank Museums some of my favourites are-The Tank Museum in Dorset, Munster in Germany, The Swedish Tank Museum Arsenahlen, Saumur in France but there are many more.

I wasn't aware that the sponsons could be "pushed in" for rail transport. I saw them in the transport position in the photo, but it's not a very close or clear one. Does anyone know of a series of photos (or a film), explaining how the procedure was done?

Meanwhile in France they had the Saint Chamond. It was a little bigger, packed a better firepower, but the tracks were too short and its mobility was greatly reduced in the no man's land.

Thing tank is such a death trap for its crew. Carbon monoxide poisoning, an engine prone to breakdown, almost no lighting, really hot temperatures. And if the tank broke down which was probably very often, the crew were dead meat.
