When going clothes shopping, I literally repeat to myself something Sierra said in a video a few years ago. "If you try something on and it doesn't work for you, remember there's not a problem when your body, there's a problem with the clothes!" it saved my mental health when going bath suit shopping for my honeymoon!

This was the best thing I did for myself postpartum too. I went to Target for an hour and tried on 50 bras trying to find my new size, so I could actually wear a bra. It did so much for my confidence.

Thank you for that pep talk about wanting to feel confident in your body and selecting clothes that help achieve this. It is not about the rules of what we should wear, but about what gives us confidence - I wish I had learned this much longer ago.

Thank you for being so real and sharing your experience. I know it's a big change so it's probably hard to film but it's so nice to see other women going through the whole pregnancy/post partum experience. I think it's so important to help people see what 'normal' is and can be.

Please do more of these videos with different stages of postpartum. You won’t regret these in a couple years if you have any more children. && I absolutely love that you were honest and grabbing stuff just to feel good. From a mom whose done this body morphing once, I would say these clothes are going to change pretty quickly in the next couple months. Jeans may fit but your groove will come back and it might look different than before. ❤ I’m glad you found some things! And trying things on is key after having babies. But you killed it! I love that black dress on you!

It looks like you found some great pieces for yourself! My confidence postpartum was so low. I didn’t have any clothes that fit me. You can nurse in a t-shirt without having to take it off, just lift it up like you do in a crop top. Love all the new clothes you found at Target!
@RachelRambles9 ай бұрын
I still need both hands to nurse my little one so I don’t have an extra hand to hold up a shirt. It just has to come off 🤣
@kimrothe9 ай бұрын
@@RachelRambles you could use a hair claw clip to clip your shirt up out of the way on the side you’re feeding on. Maybe after you get a few more weeks of nursing in you’ll be able to try it while wearing a t-shirt. I exclusively nursed all 3 of my kids (for a combined total of 6 years) I didn’t have time to be taking off my shirt to feed one of them 😂 and if I was out in public and baby got hungry, I just held baby in one arm and lifted my shirt hem, latched the baby on, and went about my business. The baby covered my stomach area and between their head and the shirt fabric it covered any exposed breast. Give it a few months and you’ll be a pro at nursing one handed/armed.

I’m 5’8 about 140 lbs when not pregnant, size 6-8 , and after I had both of my kids, I was smaller than when I got pregnant with my first kid so don’t get rid of your pre-baby clothes because if you really work on your health, you can easily get back down to pre-baby weight or even smaller don’t let anybody tell you that you won’t fit into pre-baby clothes because I definitely did after having two children back to back!

Omg post partum clothes have been one of the most frustrating things! My bub just turned 1 on Saturday and I still don't know or understand my body shape and size. Every part of me is a different size and shape to every single other part of me lol I can't buy anything online I have to try on clothes. Good example of sizing meaning nothing recently at kmart I got a black dress size 6, 1 shirt size 12, 1 shirt size 14, jeans size 12 and I should've got the undies in 14 😅

T-shirts can work for breastfeeding. I wore a tank or a feeding bra underneath, and then just lifted the shirt up from one side. You open the bra first, then place baby in front of you and then lift the shirt! I had to get used to feeding (especiaaly) in public, but you'll get handier the more you do it ;)

When I was nursing I went to Walmart and bought a bunch of spaghetti strap tank tops and I would do the two shirt method a lot. So a bigger t shirt on top and you just lift the t shirt and pull down the tank top and that way you’re all covered. I live in Florida so I did anything to avoid wearing a big cover over myself. Too hot for that.
