Our latest episode of “Royal Key” finds us at UTSA inside the R.A.C.E (Roadrunner Athletics Center of Excellence) in San Antonio, Texas. After the Roadrunner football team captured their second straight C-USA Championship and played in a bowl game for the third straight year, unveiling the new R.A.C.E facility is long overdue and well deserved. It's important to remember this football program started in 2011! It's only been 12 years and its grown into an up and coming powerhouse. This facility may not be "The absolute best " in the nation like Alabama, Georgia, or BIG Ten schools. But as far as the mid level schools it's above and beyond. So excited what the next decade of UTSA athletics has in store. Maybe by 2030 we'll have an on campus stadium and basketball arena!!🫨🫨

It would be cool to see come classroom upgrades as well. Upgrade some of the old chalkboard to whiteboards at least. Its cool to see heavy investment in athletic facilities, but also don't forget about the classrooms. As a student I find it really funny, but it is what it is...

I agree but also disagree. UTSA fans are spoiled spending game days in an indoor air conditioned stadium. The terrible acoustics of the Alamodome give a home advantage of resonating crowd noise that frankly wouldn’t carry over to an on campus stadium.
