I am by no means an expert animator but sometimes I imagine the hard work and effort made by the studio’s animators to make each scene look as good as it does. It must be exhausting. Animators at any studio deserve a reward for bringing us so many amazing anime.

Why are so many people hating? You guys don’t get it! Their animation is not as good as others, because they have problems with the time they have, think of it as homework you have 171 pages to go through and its Thursday, but your homework is due on Monday. Thats the problem they have to animate so much, each episode has over 9000 frames! (Pun intended) do you see how many frames that is? Thats not even it, the point is that their animating long and huge anime’s like the whole Dragon Ball franchise and One piece! They have a lot of time to do it, but you guys have not been realizing just how much work is actually in it. Like how much episodes they have to go through, and all of that crap you guys don’t even think once before you hate about their work! Over 800 episodes in one piece, and they get paid so low! Still! You guys are complaining, piece of shit heads, if it takes years to make an animated movie and their quality is so high, and YOU love it so much. But you see an anime with over 800 episodes and you hate it because they had a few years to make it, which is probably a lot of time, but still complaining about quality or that crap. All those people who don’t get it should just STFU! Saying, “Oh that animation is crap” when it’s probably just the quality of drawing thats put onto it. AT LEAST THEY BRING YOU THE EPISODES, SO JUST STOP HATING!

One Piece wouldn’t be near as long as it is if the production schedule wasn’t as objectively non-optimal as it is. This might be a legal issue or an internal issue, but they’ve had a good 10 years to recognize a problem. They’re stretching themselves thin with undertaking too many properties with weekly release schedules

Animators deserves a raise for their hard work and dedication to bring an animated show to life and they also deserve more breaks if a manga is released when you plan the show adaptation you should give a dead line to the team on when it needs to be complete pay them well and don’t over work them and they will get the job done and make good use of their time off and during their time of work will definitely work hard bc your care for them . I want to make an anime show I’ll give every country rights to dubbing bc I want to share my show with the world but I plan on paying my staff well so they treat my show with care , if there are really good anime out there that have really good animation and they aren’t even all paid Greatly I’m sure I can get that if not better with how I’m going to treat them instead of doing episodes weekly before I release my show , I will have it’s story written , have an artist help me with Character designs , and lastly I would animate a whole season we will have 2 months to complete this season so that Everyone can take breaks if need be get rest etc and not be over worked , but this is the deadline , the reason most animators are over worked is bc often times the show is published too soon , even when a new season comes out it may be announced too early . Example you have show out the season just ended , for really good art work it must not be rushed but what if a month or two later I say another season is coming and it’s coming soon instead of waiting for the Animation to be completed then announcing it , now animators will be in a rush Bc it has been announced they don’t have the pleasure of pacing themselves and not rushing bc it’s scheduled to release if I say August 5 we have to give the people something if I say nothing then no matter when the work is complete when I announce it won’t matter cuz it’s been completed before announcement so I have a choice Drop the whole season or five episodes weekly

I had the privilege of touring this facility when I was in a study abroad program in college. In fact, they gave the same One Piece animation tool demo and showed the same filing cabinet art pieces! It was a beautiful facility that had this great 1950s/1960s Japanese office complex aesthetic and had incredible pieces of animation history just piled up all over. It felt very old and authentic. It was really exciting... I was very sad to learn that the building was knocked down and replaced in 2016.

IMO, mangakas will never have a problem irregardless if their work gets finished or not because this is where they get their money from. If their work is finished, their livelihood is gone, and I guess it is harder for them to start out a new manga because it will be harder to get new fanbases and supporters, so they will try to drag out the manga as much as they can, by adding sub-stories and extending it for decades. E.g., OP and DBZ.

tbho i dislike the hate for toei. if u payed atention they have always been aimed for a child audience, they werent worried about your spoiled perfectionist opinions. first off, the softer animation of toei i think fits the mood of some of their shows better and helps to keep it on the happy fun side. clearly they dont make as pristine animation as madhouse. but that dosent make them a bad animation company. comparing a show like one punch man, whose manga comes out with a chapter only once or twice a moth if that, and has a huge break in between anime seasons, well no shit its gunna look better they have mass time to do it. but something like one piece has a manga that is consistent to pretty much every week and never goes on hiatus. the anime is also like year round. they have to make a new episode every week to keep pace with the manga, because bless Oda he actually shows consistancy. so yeah they dont have the time to make it fit your fancy to a T. imagine how hard it is to pull a 20 minute show out only a few weeks just to get basic movement down for the episode assuming they had to plan ahead for their schedule. it prob takes that guy on the screen a whole day just to get the motion for one freaken arm swing down and its not even colored. not to mention they do quite a few animes that are long. DB and one oiece as well as others are have always been longer running series with more consistancy than a lot of animes out there. so Toei has a LOT on their plate and they have to keep pacing and demand. while a lot of other comoanies do a multitude of shorter series or long series that frequently take breaks so they have the time advantage or can spend more attention towards one project. Dragon ball used to look better but Toei prob has more going on for it like One Piece. and others so they cant focus entirely on it anymore esp when ( at least in my opinion) its been pretty lived out. it had its run at top of the leader board and its done. dosent make it any less legendary cause it is but my point is Toei has a hard ass job and a full plate. so tbh i think they are doing a fine job. and u all talk about hand drawing, but it is HARD. i bet 99% of u trash talkers can barely scribble a hand let alone fully animate with lightboxing and coloring and backgrounds. FOR SEVERAL SHOWS. the only way to keep up is by advancing and using technology that makes it look as good as it can as fast as it can, and dont forget time for voice acting as well. and m not being biased or anything, ive done animating before and its not all easy. so stop nitpicking, god at least they give u something watchable and fairly descent. if they dont get it out on time you will complain but if they do it on time and its not perfect u will complain so what should they do? if it bugs u all that much stop your griping and read the freakin mangas. or just stop complaining in general my god. this comments section is poison.
