One day in 1983 in New York I was taking the train to work around 2:30PM (Worked 4-12AM) and I saw flying over the Bronx the Space Shuttle on top of the 747 Carrier. I yelled out look everybody it's the Space Shuttle, By the time they looked it was gone and everyone in the car looked like I had 2 heads. and a number left to another car. I told everyone at work and they didn't believe me either! Til that night it came over the news that then Mayor Koch had arranged a flyover New York of the Space Shuttle Enterprise on her way from a promotional visit to Canada.

Wow...the inside of 905 looks almost exactly the same as I remember it from 34 years ago. The "Victor Horton" listed on the SCA Flight Engineers plaque was my late grandfather. He was on the original crew with Fitz Fulton and Tom McMurtry from the start of the Shuttle program (circa 1974) until his retirement in 1986.
