When you talked about the doors that look like walls, I couldn't help but think of description in HP of "doors that weren't doors at all, but walls just pretending".

Having lived in France before, I'm really jealous. But also, there are so many creepy rooms. I can't wait to see more of the outside. The kittens seem to have taken over my Instagram feed though, and I really can't complain about that development.

Oh wow, such a cool place to be writing in! I always love seeing those old buildings which are half-renovated, half-abandoned. You have a comfy "home" environment and upstairs are the liminal spaces :)

How do I play!!?
@Mollyhasmoxie8 жыл бұрын
I don't remember all the rules but I'm sure you can find an English translation online. Basically tho, you're trying to get to 1,000 miles using the number cards and you'll lose a turn if someone plays a "flat tire" or "out of gas card" or another card like that. There's also cards you can play to prevent that if you have them in your hand. The trick is that you have to get exactly to 1,000 miles to win which is slightly harder than it sounds.

I live in a house built in the mid-1700s so the castle isn't so creepy to me. Although the entryway is painted an interesting shade of bile green. You definitely never know what you're going to find in old homes! Oh and the reason why all the washrooms are different is probably because they were built as closets or something else and repurposed when the plumbing was added. Also it was quite common for light switches to be on the outside of a bathroom. We have those too. My guess is that it's for safety reasons.

As a European, there's something very entertaining about watching Americans go round an old castle. I think it's because we just have a lot more old stuff around, so we're used to it.

Mille Bornes (pronounced mill borns if you're American)!! I own that game. It's my family's go-to game for family game night when my grandparents come to visit (none of us are French lol it's just a game that my dad likes). You should play it!! It's basically a race and the point is to get to a certain number of miles first and sabotaging the other players along the way with things like out of gas, flat tire, etc.
