I was lucky enough to attend their opening night. I work at the Venetian and have watched the Sphere go from a dirt lot to the absolutely mind blowing venue it was last night. Acoustic perfection. When sound is placed at your seat exactly how U2 wanted it to sound, you could literally hear Bono’s whispers. While they could’ve gone all out with the awesome display, it was about them and their music. Somehow, in an 18,000 seat arena, it felt like you were watching them in a small intimate cabaret. It was like wearing HiFi noise cancelling headphones with augmented reality glasses. The industry has just been put on notice.

‏Wow, I have so much to say about them💖💖💖, I have no idea where to start! ‏I am a 16 year old girl and I loveeeeee U2💜💜, for 9 months now I hear their songs everyday all the time!! Before that I always knew they existed because my mom loves the 80’s music, but I never understood why they are so special! I started with 5 songs in my playlist😂, by that time I only began to actually understand why their music is so extraordinary and important to everyone and myself! Now I have about 60 songs in my playlists and I know each one of them by heart 💖, I love Bono’s voice and I find so much meaning in each song ! 🫶🏻🫶🏻 Even my book report was about ‘SURRENDER’ During those days the situation in my country is not easy, for 9 months people are protesting and trying to defend human rights and the idea of democracy and liberty! I try to protest whenever I can because those ideas and my country are so important to me!🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻 I am sure that this is one of the reasons why I feel so connected to their music.💙 during this period U2 has always been one of the places I can escape to, and always makes me feel better🫶🏻🫶🏻. The fact that I haven’t met any other teenagers who love or even know U2 makes me really sad😢, because I really believe that anyone can learn something from their songs and ideas!!!!! I saw them for the first time on the 30 of September with my mom (can’t believe she agreed to fly to Las Vegas😂, it took us 27 hours to get there🤣), at their second show at the sphere💖 I’m sure it will remain one of the most memorable moments of my life!! Once Bono walked on that stage I couldn’t believe what I saw!! I wish I had the chance to talk to them😔 hope I will someday on their next shows🫶🏻 Love U2 so much❤️❤️

Crazy that probably tomorrow we will be able to hear a non acoustic "So Cruel" or maybe the return of the allmighty "Love is Blindness" guitar solo. The great thing about U2 tours is that they always take the time to perform every song matching (at leats trying) in a fresh and renewed way. There is nothing like watching Running to Stand Still Rattle&Hum piano take and then the infected guitar zoo tv take, or the incredible adaption of Bullet the Blue Sky to the Popmart era. They never do the easy thing of just playing the most common and well known take of a song. They are always live, creative and trying.

As much as I like technology, I think we are watching waaaaaaay to much TV today. I end up going to see a show, to connect with an artist but ending up watching a TV show instead. I think it is sad and has disconnected us with the human aspect of things. Yes the screen is amazing, I love watching shows about the universe, stars and planets, but I am missing the persona, the intimate feeling. I was lucky to see U2 years ago at a smaller venue, and it was mindblowing, to feel and see their energy almost ripping the roof off at the place. The way things are going it will be avatar bands performing, because it really does not matter if the artist is there or not, just see the latest ABBA show, and people still pay big bucks to see it and come out feeling entertained. It is the way things are going I know, I just like the other thing better.

OK here’s the thing …. Tickets for the concert are still for sale.. U2 used to sell out of tickets within hours of going on Sale … But They are now so expensive No one except the Rich can afford the SPHERE Prices, Even the sellers on the strip have given up trying to sell them. The Sphere is a Disaster and will soon go Bankrupt. They can’t sustain the cost of building it . Its cost are way too high and they know it.

The more interviews by Zane Lowe I watch the more he starts to irritate me. How is this "closer to the audience"? Yeah it may is a unique experience but as a music fan who has seen many venues these US event cathedrals are just destroying everything. Its just sitting down like in front of a TV. Its ok if you are 80 but if you still have two decent feet and love music you want to move yo a** once in a while, but this becomes increasingly different with forced seating etc.
