I can't watch a video now without crying. And he wasn't even my baby! But I know the pain you're going through. I'm so sorry. I wish all our pets could last forever. I can't tell you that it gets easier. We just learn to live without them. I still cry over pets I've lost years ago. Just hold solace in the fact that you have so many memories you're able to go back to and relive the joy you guys had together.

Yes, he passed away. It is explained in more detail on the Facebook page in the description box. I believe it was sometime over the summer. Although, I cannot recall the exact time off the top of my head.

@@kristaj428 It's a reflex from the times their ancestors were desert animals in Middle East. When they are active underground, they close their eyes tight so dust and sand won't go in them. Of course in terrariums/cages with cotton or paper nesting materials they don't need that reflex but it hasn't gone anywhere. When they drink from clack-clack bottle (😂), they purposely close their eyes so water sprinkles won't go in the eyes.

@@MJ-yd9gk you don't know much about senses do you? Your senses get better without others, etc so blind people hear better deaf people tend to see better etc. There are actually studies where underground or burrowing animals hear better due to lack of eyesight.

Claudia Leopold I got drunk the day she died I couldn’t control myself not because she was my pet and I loved her which I really did and I know nothings forever but I had picked my hamsters out with someone special to me and that day was very important to me and my memory of that day would be looking at my hamster and now the only reminder is her empty sleeping area I had 2 so the cage isn’t empty but my poor hamster couldn’t move when his friend died or maybe they were together idk but he doesn’t sleep were she slept 😭 and the day she died he stared at her sleeping area poor guy wouldn’t leave her I woke up seeing him staring and laying next to her.

Hamsters are awesome. Be thankful for the fun and funny memories he provided. My 7 year daughter's Siberian "Penny" has been with us for 7 months now and has taught her patience and understanding. It took 1 month for the bitting and nipping to stop and 3 months for Penny to settle in to her large and well equipped cage. Now Penny practically jumps into my daughter's hands and was bouncing around happily when we returned from vacation and she heard my daughter's voice.
