Slight variation on this experiment: connect two motors to each other, one powerful one, one to be killed. Run the big one normally and let the other die. Bet you can overpower some of the stuff that broke here and find new things to break.

After e second run you should have deburred the bearings, assemble them with oil, put oil back in the engine and test how long it will run "normally". Drive it a few kilometers.

The engine could have a few kilometres left in it if they filed down the grooves in the berings and added good oil

Most old petrol cars do work with diesel mixed into petrol, just with worse performance and you need to remove catalyser and any kind of ecology activists around :D

Reassemble the whole thing, fill it up with oil and mix petrol in it. First just add 10% petrol, then 30%, then 50% and finally run it only with petrol instead of oil. Let's see if it'll explode, or just catch fire... :D

How about taking this to the next level? Remove the bearing shells and also the oil piston rings. Run it on two-stroke fuel like 25-1 oil gasoline mix. I'd pay to see the outcome of that.

well you can sand crank journals by hand to be smooth again and thicker bearings in in, add some heavy grade oil and it will run. but why, it's so boring. what would you do with this small low power engine?

EGRklep reinigen zonder de klep te demonteren. Welk brandstof-additief werkt goed en bij welk toerental wordt die klep gereinigd (staat de klep open). Helpt rijden met hoge toerentallen of juist met lage?

Ik heb dit voorstel al eens eerder gedaan: probeer een auto te starten met een mig/mag lasapparaat. De startmotor van de Clio kun je zo gebruiken om te kijken of de handel niet doorfikt. Maar eerst een fijne vakantie toegewenst 👍

The bottom half of the bearing wears because 3/4 of the time the crank is pulling that piston down. Only one piston at a time is on the power portion of the 4 cycles.
