Another neat thing about Wolf Link in BotW is that you can have him track down stuff with the Sheikah Sensor. Just select a Compendium entry in the Sensor's menu while Wolf Link is active, and if the item is in range, he will guide you to it.

You can also scan a Zelda Amiibo to replenish hearts once per day, and scanning a Link will refill your arrows. Or if you want extra pain, scan Ganondorf to take double damage. Which also stacks with the double damage from Hero Mode allowing you to take quad damage.

Yeah It took me a very long time to do the dungeon and get max Health for wolf link. I was really REALY disappointed wolf link didn’t come back in TOTK. I’ve seen ppl make a mod of turned link into 2 Legged wolf link. It looked awesome. So wish Nintendo would do that as DLC for TOTK. Love Wolf Link. He so Under appreciated. There was so much more potential for they use Wolf link again. Twilight Princess HD still my favourite Zelda game. Then it’s TOTK and Link to the past.

The rescan is best saved until the end because the amount of hearts you have in BOTW directly correlates with how many you ended the Cave of Shadows with. It was so much work to get a 20 Heart Wolf Link but I was so happy and relieved once achieved lmao

I remember doing the cave of shadows way back in the day. XD It was honestly fun! I completed it, and if you do, you'll get something at the end to make the game a lot easier lol. Not only that, but if you complete it with 20 hearts full, then that will transfer to Wolf Link in BOTW, making him stronger lol.

The weekend after the Switch and BOTW released I learned about Wolf Link's integration into BOTW and I did a speedrun to the end of TP from scratch, getting 20 hearts and then completing the cave of shadows without losing any hearts (with the help of the Zelda amiibo) just so I could have a 20-heart doggo in BOTW with me. Which is to say, I spent more time playing TP at BOTW's launch than playing BOTW...
