A teen who thought she was just filming a bit for TikTok ended up recording the exact moment she discovered she had a tell-tale COVID-19 symptom. Maryn Short, 19, was sampling what was supposed to be a sweet drink when she discovered she couldn’t taste a thing. In that moment, Short tells Inside Edition, she realized an awful truth. When people get so offended it makes it worse for when things really do need to be taken offensively instead everyone being right and no one wrong. This is how I found out too. I came home from work wanting something sweet. I had some Oreos. Couldn't taste them. I brushed it off as they were just stale. The next morning I had premade iced coffee and couldn't taste it, again I just brushed it off that it was probably just watered down. Then my boyfriend brought my family breakfast for my Dad's birthday and when my French Toast was flavorless and it felt like I was chewing a sponge I knew something was wrong. That same day all of a sudden I got an awful headache, I felt nauseous, my throat began to hurt, and my nose began to run. I checked my temp and it was 101.4. The next day I got tested and that was when the cough began. Within 2 hours of being tested I came back positive.

Thanks everyone I am fully recovered now . I got it back in August and good thing I noticed early . I had body aches , headaches, my eyes hurt and I lost my taste and smell . Wasn’t as bad as I thought but it all depends on the person. Only lasted like a week but I quarantined like 14 days just in case:)

I've gotten covid before becausd my dad had it and I live with my parents. Losing my taste and smell was the most terrible thing I have ever been through. Sure I may be overreacting or being overdramatic, but it really was hard to go through. I don't want you to pity me, but I know some people would think losing your taste is good so you can finally eat healthy, (no offense) but I personally hated going through it. I couldn't taste my favorite food, drinks, candy, chips, literally anything. I think I lost my taste for more than 4 months or so, so that goes to show that you should just follow the guidelines and wear a mask out in public. I know this probably won't change most people's opinion, but believe me, you don't want to go through this. It's just not worth it.
