Traumatic Brain Injury can have devestating personality changes. I used to work in Neurological Rehab with TBI and it was a hand full trying to keep up with the patients we had. This man maybe didn't have an injury as severe as the ones we cared for but it can still be life changing.

Can't give help when nobody asks for it. One of my cousins was in Vietnam and when he finally came home it was too late , he never asked for help, the family all offered but he kept refusing. He lost his wife and kids and eventually drank himself to death. And before anyone says anything, we were not there , nobody not even the soldiers fully understood how much of their humanity was lost in those bloody stupid wars. From watching their friends getting badly maimed and slaughtered to having to kill even children. THE HUMAN RACE HAS SUNK TO IT'S LOWEST LEVEL AND IS STILL SINKING. 😢

I had asked for my medical records from the VA and told that they were lost. Some years later, after I filed for partial disability due to a worsening condition, they were miraculously able to find them and said my condition wasn't service related and denied my claim. Fortunately, a non-profit VA rep was able to refile my claim in a manner that was accepted. They use you up and spit you out hoping you'll just go away. I discourage any young man from enlisting.

No one is, that's the problem. Those who join tend to believe they're helping to protect but like my grandpa told me when I was young (he died when I was 15) It chips away at you both mind and soul until it leaves you as just a shell of what you used to be. Most in my area join the military as just a way out of suffering from poverty and other problems only to leave them more messed up than before when they went in.
