I cannot describe the depths in which I hate the people who do this. My grandfather fought 2 wars and worked in intelligence for desert storm. He died at 56 from a dissecting aortic aneurysm. Probably from holding in all the trauma he went through. He no doubt killed people he didn't want to and saw his friends slaughtered along the way. This should be a federal crime. You notice how each legitimate veteran is emotional at this crime - that is how important it is to correct this wrong. The veterans earned their recognition, their medals, they paid with their bodies and souls, she is a disgrace for what she is putting them through and causing them any pain. Bless each and every one of the veterans!
@ncooty2 жыл бұрын
I'm not particularly emotional about it. Mostly, I think it's pathetic. She should definitely be charged for the misuse of VA records, if that's accurate. But personally, I didn't serve for the recognition, and people like this woman couldn't tarnish the reputations of the Marines and Corpsmen with whom I served no matter how hard she tries. If there’s one thing I’ve learned about people with Purple Hearts, it’s that most of the time, they don’t volunteer that information quickly and openly. Because it is typically associated with one of the worst days of their lives. I spent a lot of time with my dad at the VFW, he was a navy vet, and the post commander and I liked talking to a lot of the guys there. The ones with Purple Hearts I usually found out about from others who would just mention the guys in the post who were wounded in action. Very few of the Purple Heart recipients ever wanted to talk about it. They weren’t so much “proud” of it, but haunted by it. Many come close to dying, and they don’t just run around yapping about that afterwards. It’s extremely traumatizing. The only time I EVER saw most of the Purple Hearts talk about it, it was during very emotional speeches during military holiday functions the VFW put on for them and the public.

I know a lot of WW2 veterans. I respect them a lot because they gave up so much of their life to defend the world. And when they come back, some misses one of their legs or arms, others got PTSD, emotional and mental scars. That's why I see them as courageous, braves and fearless. I wanna be like them. BUT I don't pretend to be one of them because I know I don't have guts to join the military
