Rescue Moments That Bloomed Into Memorable Relationships

These rescue stories bloomed and became so much more. Years ago, Melissa Dohme had a firefighter rescue her. He later went from rescuer to husband. In 2017, when firefighter Mark Hadden arrived on the scene to deliver a stranger's baby, he had no idea that years later that child would be calling him dad. In 2021, dentist Hailey Logan got stuck in an elevator. Afterward, she asked the cute firefighter who rescued her out for drinks. Inside Edition’s Andrea Swindall has more.

So sad... I feel so bad for that boy. That is a heavy, long life burden of trauma inflicted onto him in the most abhorrent way.. I can see he is good hands now and will do something great later on, but that degree of trauma will be so incredibly difficult to manage over the years.

@@jolielavey1769 From what they said, she was about to graduate high school and start college which is why she wanted to break up with the boyfriend that stabbed her, so for all we know she was already 18 if not close to it. Besides I doubt she was actually dating for however many months of surgeries, hospitalizations, and rehabilitation that she had to go through. Not only that, firefighters can be young too, but even 19 or 20 yrs old. You don’t have to be in your 30’s to become one either.

Ronnie's story was so sad. The kid looks exactly like his dad. What does that do to a kid's mind knowing your own father almost ended your life after killing your mom and sister. How does he look in the mirror and bear having the resemblance to that monster. Glad he has that police officer as a father now. Family goes beyond blood or resemblance. Love is what makes a family.

It’s a witness intimidation tactic. It’s highly debated in law circles if a defendant should be able to act as their own defense attorney in situations where they’re being accused of a violent crime. Imagine you’re a victim and since you’re making a claim, a defense attorney can always cross examine you, but now since the attorney is the perpetrator that’s adds another layer of stress to the victim and they may not be able to testify. If they can’t testify, any claims by the victim about the defendant won’t be able to be considered by the jury because the defense never got a chance to defend the claims, tell their story or clarify them in a way that may show the victim is lying, misrepresenting the facts, delusional, mentally, lacks credibility (maybe a woman claims rape, but a defendant can prove the last 18 boyfriends she had all were accused of abuse at the end of their relationship) etc. So in short, abusive people act as their own attorney in these type of cases in the hopes of intimidating their victim so they won’t testify, weakening the case against them.
