Yea and they were limited to how much season they could have. They said season 4 would be the last one, they had the beg and please Warner bros to continue the show. So it was definitely a fight, it was the best show that I’ve ever watched, the structure of the show was unbelievable and the casting was on point. Phenomenal show, personally I don’t think it had any faults.

I wish Ben had came to Gotham Con, because I would have liked to have told him what a great job he was doing. He put 110% in it, until the end of the show, and you could see the work and effort he really put into the show. It was awesome! I think I have binge watched Gotham all the way through at least twice, since the series finale. Love the show to this day!

Gotham is literally the best dc show. It’s so different but it does things in a way that’s so compelling. Like Bruce starting his vigilante career at a young age and meeting the supervillains he’d encounter as Batman is just awesome. All the actors are amazing. Gotham definitely has the best version of Alfred in my opinion

Gotham is one of my favorites out of the DC TV, so much good production design and costume design and a good astethic of grim, gothic, murky and nostalgia without taking itself too seriously, a perfect look that rivals the movies (maybe except Joker) .

I loved Gotham. Fantastic casting, all round. Just felt cheated that it ended so abruptly. With all the great Batman villains there was plenty of scope for more seasons. Also, the final season should have been full-length, rather than the half-baked rush job that we ended up with.

the idea is Batman creates the villains. Its a response to him. But by the ed of the Gotham show, they've done the whole Ras storyline, Joker, all the villains are established and in Arkham or on the run or dead. Even Hugo Strange is outed as crazy with Bruce as a kid still.

Watched show for Donal and liked Ben's performance but as a Batman fan didn't like the show. I also couldn't feel any real drama or tension knowing that the majority of characters will survive to become Batman's not Gordon's foes.

Only asking because as a book fan first villain origin rewrites are common; for that matter as a film fan you also get reimagined villain origins frequently, if you count the animated shows and movies. Show just didn't provide drama or real interest for me, but I did like some of the performances. Agree Penquin was entertaining but my favorite character was Butch.

I loved Gotham Bruce was to much in the spotlight for a prequel show in my opinion mainly because he was behaving like batman without a suit but the it difference is he's a kid so it was really weird to watch at times everything else was cool though but I didn't like the last season it felt super rushed because of the time jump a time jump in a prequel is weird I was expecting the build up to him becoming batman at the end not a jump that's like he's bats now just my opinion stay humble people

The DC Animation department is always trying out new ideas, they should tell a conventional Batman story, but get the Gotham cast play their characters as they are normally viewed rather that prequelised as they were on the live action show.

Was like the Gotham to smallville these 2 shows could have been crossovers if they weren't in diffrent ereas it was such a shame they had to finish early and rush the last season as Bruce was still a little young for batman but if they had have run it for a 2 ta 3 more years would have been greate like they run smallvile long enough for both lex and Clark to reach the right age for the final. felt like it had a few seasons to go yet

Honestly, Ben was the PERFECT Year One Gordon. It wasn’t his fault that show got so not great. In fact, I’d argue him along with Penguin carried the show on their backs while the writing got progressively worse as they ran out of ideas. I started watching with the understanding that it’s Gotham Central, but having Bruce be a child when the rogues come along messed it all up. I didn’t need any Bruce or Selina in that show Honestly, the only better cast for Year One Gordon would be Bryan Cranston, the guy who actually played Year One Gordon in the cartoon
