I randomly searched for an iron cleaning video and it was so nice to find one from you. I can feel how much better your iron felt. Now I really want yo clean mine.

Every time I finish ironing,if on steam,I press the extra steam button to clean out the steam holes.After emptying I press the water spray button ,until empty,to clean out the steam pipe.I then retry emptying to ensure all water is cleared.This helps to keep your iron clean. If using on steam I always hold the iron horizontally above but not on the ironing board and press the extra steam button to ensure the steam holes are clean before ironing.When filling or refilling your iron always make sure it's switched off for safety.If,when ironing your iron catches or sticks to something switch off immediately and turn switch to dry.Using a dry white cotton,flat fibre cloth such as an old shirt wipe the sole plate.If still marked reheat your iron on high dry setting ,switch off and repeat until clean.Make sure the cloth is folded several times so you don't burn yourself.Thank you for your advice ,however always refer to your instruction book on cleaning as there are so many different finishes of sole plates now available.

You didn’t mention the brown fuss that gets between the plate and iron. I use a q tip to clean it out.

Thanks for the tips! In addition to the towels I love to use a Magic Eraser. It is a miracle for me in the scrubby pad world!

thank you for this! Am now cleaning my iron. I wonder if spray starch can build up on the sole plate? I've been using a lot lately and my iron isn't functioning as well as before

1000%! Use a pressing cloth when you use starch from now on.

What if you don't have vinegar? Is there anything else you can use?

I’m going to give this a try! I couldn’t figure out how to get the circles cleaned on my good iron. Good thing I didn’t toss it when I bought an inexpensive one to replace it! Thank you! Hope it works! 🤞🏼

I'm scared the salt will scratch the sole plate! Did you have any issues? I have the same iron as you do, and don't want to hurt it!

Nope. No issues.

Using Distilled water will completely stop any lime or calcium build up in your iron! 👍
@anitaallen4143 Жыл бұрын
Double check that, cause I don’t THINK YOU ARE SUPPOSED TO USE DISTILLED water in an iron. It is hard on the iron.
@lucianlup2 жыл бұрын
Or simply just use distilled water.
@srpatilvideos36892 жыл бұрын
Never use tap water, use RO water because no scaling or choking of holes and spray will be there
@InsidetheHem2 жыл бұрын
Manufacturer specifically says to use tap water.

The iron looks like a little skillet. Can u fry bacon on it?
