I would pay good money for a pure, good quality of this version of Let it Go. It's absolutely scary how well done this song is and with the added orchestration with the swirling piano and choir, makes me tear up every time I hear it...even through this muffled camcorder recording. Oh no, don't get me wrong. Rescuers Down Under was great and I also felt it was far superior than its predecessor. The problem is that TRDU was sandwiched between Little Mermaid and Beauty and the Beast, thus becoming one of the most underrated and forgotten movies of the Disney Animated Canon. A good movie that was lost amidst a string of great movies. When people mention the Revival Era, they mention Princess & the Frog-Frozen, but forget Winnie the Pooh 2011. Big Hero 6 may end up going the same way because Frozen was so successful and people may be expecting something bigger. Then again, Big Hero 6 may surprise us, we never know.

nepomusik Big Hero 6 is based on a team of superheroes from the Marvel universe so I could see why you'd be worried. This would be the first Marvel animated feature film since Disney bought Marvel. But all we can do is cross our fingers and hope it doesn't get lost in the shuffle. I really want to see any animated Disney film succeed and follow through on this streak.

At 1:50 when her hair bun unties and she smiles being finally free for the first time, that moment with Idina's voice "exploding", that bit is just incredible. And the rest of the sequence is absoloutely fantastic too. Seriously, this movie can either be great or sucks, but this "Let it Go" scene is one of the best animated musical sequence I've ever seen! While "For the First Time in Forever" had a good tune, lyrics and beat, "Let it Go" had all of that AND good scenes and animation. Hands down the best and most memorable song in the movie for me. And considering that it was the one that got covered by a real singer, we can assume that "Let it Go" is the main song of Frozen?

I think "Do You Want to Build A Snowman" might be the theme actually, since if you listen to the rest of the soundtrack, that's the one whose melody reoccurs most often (most notably in Epilogue and The Great Thaw)

Depends what you mean by 'real' singer. Idina Menzel is a broadway singer whose voice is very well known. Just look up her performance of Defying Gravity from Wicked, she's fierce. Demi is a great singer, but Idina is amazing. I see your point though! I'm not sure if it's the main song, but it definitely is the most memorable/popular because Disney seems to be using it for all Frozen-based performances at the parks.

Idina Menzel is a real singer as well, with more than a few studio albums under her belt in addition to her amazing Broadway career. However, "Let It Go" is my all-time favorite song from Frozen and one of the best songs Disney has ever released, so I'm all for making it Frozen's main song.

Yes, since I have typed that post I have looked up Idina Menzel. She is indeed a most definite real singer. What I meant by my comment was that common Disney tradition of a song in the movie having a cover done by another artist that usually makes it the "main" song of the movie. You know, like "A Whole New World" for Aladdin, and "Reflection" for Mulan? For Frozen, the song that fits that particular bill is "Let it Go", though watching the movie again with my family this time, I agree that the other two main songs of Frozen are "Do You Want to Build a Snowman" and "For the First Time in Forever". But "Let it Go" is the personal main one for me.

The trolls warned that fear would be her enemy, and it was: her fear of her powers made them uncontrollable. The parents idea was good in the short-term, but in the long-term, it ended up just making Elsa feel alone and dangerous, which in turn led to her becoming fearful of herself and her powers.

hurp shnortlenips I think she kept freezing things because she was scared of her gift, she was terrified of messing up and hurting anyone--including Anna again, and the fear of what other people would do if they found out. She couldn't really practice and learn to control her powers when she was too scared to use them properly. Think of the mantra she has: conceal it, don't show it, don't let them see, be the good girl. To me, the constantly freezing objects (other than her gloves that worked like a talisman/mental block that could protect and hold back her powers) was more of an outward sign of the fear that consumed her inside.

The original version sticks out like a sore thumb among the other more traditional sounding Disney songs in the movie due to it's modern pop sound and I've always thought it was way overrated. So first off, Idina Menzel is one of my musical idols. I fell in love with Wicked because of her. The only thing I wanted to say was that the way this character has to hide her magic and then releases it is just like Elphaba in Wicked. This is the show that started my Frozen addiction. Gave me chills. It convinced me to see the movie. So glad that I had passes this year and got to experience everything Frozen at Disneyland.

Definitely a Two thumbs up for Disney . This movie is just wonderful. And the opening mickey mouse short film is very cute.. this is probably one of the best movies from Disney after tangled. Hope it has a sequel

If you get the deluxe soundtrack the last song on disk 2 is a karaoke version of Let it Go. Just orchestration, no vocals. There you go. :)
