Mike the best exactly. Which is not a valid reason to criticize a film in front of people. I can understand if you say you don't like the plot or anything like that, but saying older films are better is not a good enough excuse to criticize it.

Years later, she started getting pretty sick. She knew she didn't have long, so she made a trip out to see me and my family (we got as much family on my mom's side as possible to come out too. they live in B.C. and Manitoba. we live in Saskatchewan.) And we went out to our local bar, drank, and sang karaoke. We sang this song for her on the way home from the bar, lol. It was a happy, wonderful memory that I will always treasure and I have a feeling she did too. With that in mind, this song always made my eyes sting with a bit of happy tears, even though it's been a few years now since she passed. Love and miss you always, Grandma.

There's a sweet story about Ilene Woods who voiced Cinderella, as when she went to the premiere with her family her daughter would point at Cinderella on the screen and say "That's my mummy!" and an older lady, not knowing who the little girl, was remarked to her friend, "Isn't that sweet, that little girl thinks Cinderella is her mother!" and she really was :)

How did she maintain her voice over the years?
@matthewcantrell21627 жыл бұрын
krosis. also not trying to do voices that will strain or damage your vocal chords. Look at Jessica Calvello she damaged her vocal chords doing "Excel Saga" and now she can't play characters with high pitched voices.

She is a woman. Woman's voices Barely change over time because they have different vocal cords.

It’s called natural talent. And this woman has that in spades.

Up where they walk/ Up where they run/ Up where they stay all day in the sun/ When I was young...this song made me realize I was lucky to be able do such things... That I needed to get out of the house more and take advantage of beautiful days...and the ability to walk and to run for these are gifts not all people have. and of course Mrs. Benson's BEAUTIFUL voice punctuates it's perfectly.

*This performance captures exactly the difference between "singing" and "voice acting".* at that moments she's not Jodi Benson- she's 100% Ariel. you can see it by her movements, facial expressions..you can see it only by looking into her eyes! she has so many respect for her character that I find it completely impossible to not respect her. even if she wasn't good as she used to be (and she definitely was as good).

God, something squeezed in my chest as I was listening to this. I didn't cry, but it was a damn near thing. I felt like I was hearing to Ariel singing the song thinking back to the first time she sang the song in the cave smiling after she had gotten her happily-ever-after(or close to it). That was what I liked about it-I could hear the smile in the song. The singer killed this and enjoyed doing it, and her smile at the end showed that she knew she killed it. Bravo!

I grew up with an older sister; she was 6 years older than me. I was always watching Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, and Beauty and the Beast. This character changed my life for the better in that I loved her voice. I literally *CARED* for this character. Everytime I took a bath she was with me. Anytime i went to the pool she was with me swimming with Flounder. If she had red hair she would be the embodiment of my childhood. I love her smile, it looks just like Ariel's. What a jump to 21 years ago when I was 6. Thank you so much for uploading this. I'm eternally grateful.
