This ride is one of the best than others I've ever been on! Flying on a banshee is truly fun and amazing! When lean forward in the recliner and your DNA is connected with a Na'vi avatar of your own you'll feel it tickling against your stomach till the scanning is complete. Then the fun begins. I loved it as I went on the ride yesterday afternoon.

I just rode this today, best ride I have ever been on. NOTHING compares to it. You can feel the banshee breathing as you fly, the wind on your face and the mist from the water. It truly feels like your flying and it's so smooth. I was blown away, what an amazing ride, definitely check it out if you can!

I went on this ride June 9th. We had to wake up at 6;30 and wait for the actual park to open. There were HUNDREDS of people already lined up. Luckily when the guards lead us the way, I maneuvered to the front of the line, my family behind me. We were on the first ride. It's truly amazing. Especially because you can feel the banshee breathing as the ride goes on.

Part of this ride as with all Disney rides is the story and immersion. Yes the Que is long but I have been there first hand with my family to check it out. The line area is amazing and you get lost in the items around you. When ever a ride first opens you are guaranteed there is going to be a wait. But the ride is only part of the thrill with this amount of visuals and hands on areas throughout the que to the ride.

I think it may be the best ride I have ever been on at a theme park. It was so incredibly imersive. I was speachless after going on that ride. You literally feel like you are riding throuhg pandora. And there are 4d effects that go with it too. Absolutly amazing😍

Had a 7:45 - 8:45pm fast pass for tonight (August 17) for Flight of Passage. Got to our fast pass around 8:12p. Standby line was still crazy long, but we got on in less than 10 minutes. All I have to say is WOW WOW WOW!!!!!! It's worth the trip back to Disney for that alone.

I saw Avatar in 3D and what really impressed me is how detailed and immersive James Cameron made the planet of Pandora. It felt like more of a real place than any Star Trek movie ever made an alien planet feel. It looks like Disney also captured that feel of realism

I have to say kudos to both disney and james cameron.From videos i ve seen of all the avatar land it looks amazing.Animatronics are by far the best i ve seen to date.Already planning my next trip to orlando and Avatar land is definitely top of my list to visit first.Queues will be crazy i know but like harry potter and anything else that was new im sure it will be worth the visit.

If you know what Sword are online is. Imagine that just a few decades of tech behind. It was visually incredible almost as if you were literally in the world. You felt everything from wind, too water, voice acting was incredible, the physical aspect of flying was incredible. I cannot wait too see how advanced this technology will become. I visited all Disney parks, Universal and Island of Adventure this week and for me Flight of Passage was the craziest and most impressive experience of all. In my first day at Orlando I visited AK and entred the park at 7:45am on Dec 10 2018(Monday), the first thing I did was Flight of Passage and I literally cried in the middle of the ride because I was so overwhelmed and pleased with the experience, I returned on Saturday to AK and had a second experience and wow, it really is amazing, fortunately I never waited more than 40 mins because I entered AK very early. I'm not a fan of Avatar, for me the movie is just ok but this thing is crazy. For me the ranking of the best rides at Disney and Universal is this.

JediKris2 sadly they will not accommodate larger people. that's what the boat ride is for. these are similar vehicles to the tron ride in Shanghai Disneyland.

Oh man. Harry Potter was intense. I’ve lost 100 pounds since I went last August but on Forbidden Journey I had to sit in outer seats and Gringotts (rows 3 and 6 are for taller folks) on the back row. I was still really uncomfortable but wasn’t about to miss those rides. Disney is usually better about generous seating but I’m curious about how this will ride when I go in a couple weeks.

I somehow got a FastPass for Pandora in January. Believe me, it is *AMAZING* I have never experienced something so amazing with such a long wait queue… It is really hard to get FastPasses for it, so if you can’t, I’d suggest still waiting for 3 hours to get on it.

gissneric, Yes, it's about the main show and attraction. I'm all about complete immersion, a pillar of Walt's vision for his parks. I've been visiting the parks for 30 + years and expect nothing less than that. Is it nitpicking, yes it is. Do I want to be absolutely wowed? Yes I do. The queue looks incredible and I'm sure the attraction is amazing. The pre show video, for me, takes me out of Pandora. It's just my opinion and I'm sure there was going to be some resistance, which I respect.

Rode it yesterday. Line extremely long due to COVID19 spacing but it only took 45 minutes which wasn’t bad. We kept moving 90% of the time. Overall theming was well done. Outside mountain and waterfalls well done. Ride was excellent looking at the IMAX style curved giant screen. But we got nauseous from the motion and are still messed up today from the strong motion sickness. For those who struggle with that, you MUST take Dramamine before you get on.

Bionicleman 64 got to be patient. For all we know they could be working on it or at least something Zootopia themed but it may just be a while considering they've got Star Wars land at both Disneyland and Walt Disney World and at Walt Disney World we've also got toy story land coming (something I personally don't think is needed, would much prefer them getting marvel are universal and putting that there instead of The one fix our franchise they keep beating like a dead horse, don't give me wrong I love toy story but enough's enough especially after three ended the trilogy so beautifully)

I was on it yesterday. In short, it's amazing. There's a lot of intro video nonsense to get through as you can see, including some horrible acting by the least believable "scientist" ever, but once you get in it's great. In addition to the amazing VR visuals, there is air shooting at you at various strengths and directions to simulate your wind speed and it changes when you're ascending or descending. There are water spouts hitting you to simulate the mist when you're near waterfalls and the ocean, and there is a scent released similar to Soarin' but not exactly the same. The thing you sit on is pretty cool and it enhances the ride more than just sitting in a chair like Star Tours. You lean down and forward like you're getting onto a Tron bike and then the cast member working the ride pushes up this additional piece behind you so you don't fall out, which is good because this allows you to let go if the metal handlebars during the ride and feel more like you're actually flying. The glasses themselves were kind of large but still comfortable. Down on the inner sides of your thighs there was also some contraption that would move left and right as if you were sitting on a living, breathing Banshee. You mostly swoop around mountains and over water and through the bioluminescent jungle. One part has you inside a cave filled with little Panopyra's, which are those little jellyfish looking guys, and another part has you riding right above a herd of what I think were Hammerhead Titanothere's, which are big lumbering creatures like elephants but they have a head like a hammerhead shark. Halfway through you are attacked by a huge Great Leonopteryx, which is basically like a Banshee but is orange and harder to tame. My favorite part of all was probably when you swoop down to the water surface. I won't even say what happens because it's just a very intense moment and I wouldn't want to spoil it. A few other creatures are in there as well, including a cute little Prolemuris who is sitting below you if you look down at the very end, but it's all so fast it's hard to see everything in just one ride through. There are plenty of surprises and other fun details that I left out but really, I have nothing bad to say about the ride. It's a pretty long ride too, so you won't feel ripped off for waiting in a long line only to experience a 40 second ride. It felt like a good five minutes of non-stop excitement. The lines are going to be very long though when this opens to the public. The estimated wait time if the entire queue was filled will be 3 hours so weigh that against how badly you want to ride a Banshee for five minutes. Either way, it's like no other Disney ride I've experienced before and I recommend it fully.

My girlfriend is very claustrophobic and she was sitting right next to me. As soon as the man pushed up the back support she began to panic as she wasn't expecting that and her emergency anxiety pills were in the bag on the back shelf where people have to store their items. Once the ride began though she felt alright and loved the ride as much as I did. In fact it's her new favorite ride. It isn't like a roller coaster where you're literally moving up and down into the air and you aren't trapped in a tiny isolated space like Mission Space (MS is one ride which she backed out of going on at the last minute) so if you began to panic really bad I'm sure the cast member there could stop the ride in an emergency.

Kai0nTheMoon Your gf sounds like me with the pills in the bag lol, o man, hmmm maybe I'll take my anxiety pill before I get on this one. I know i go into panic mode locked in a small space so I can't do Mission Space either because it's too claustrophobic. thanks for the info 😀
