@@lukeevans2717 @Luke Evans Yeah whatever like I said they kicked him to the curb and he had a good job and as soon as they call him, he ran back like a little bit;;. Shut the heck up he and others like him are the reason other good wrestlers get treated the way they do because guys run right back despite having a job some where else and making enough and they give WWE the power to continue to use and dump when they want. Shut the heck up to me.

I loved that kingly regal bit he did in Attitude Era for WWE. Early on when he was still building heat, he performed at a house show in Philly. My buddy and I went. When Regal came out and did his usual promo about lowly Americans, I stood up, applauded and did the queen wave. He called me out and said I was the exact boob (or something similar) he was referring too.

The point of view Regal was saying it from was why are you wearing a mask Excalibur, as if anybody knows who you are with the mask or without the mask? That's what everyone was saying when aew first started about Excalibur and his mask.. but then Excaliburs feelings got hurt and he was telling Regal how it's a big cultural sign of respect amongst luchadores.. as if Regal didn't know that, and Excalibur wears it thinking people know who he is when realistically nobody has ever heard of him, period.

William Regal is one of my favourite people in wrestling. As a wrestler, an onscreen character, and as a person. Hearing him talk here confirms the latter. I like that he didn't talk disparagingly about WWE, even when he wasn't working for them. I know a lot of that is personal (Vince effectively saved his life by putting him through rehab at a time WWE didn't really do that, plus he is super close friends with HHH), but also classy. HUGE fan of Regal; feel like I've been a fan for nearly 30 years. Being billed from Blackpool, when I live in Blackpool UK, instantly put him in my "I hope he wins!" category unless he was against one of my absolute favourites. When he left NXT I was relieved because I'd given up on NXT LOOONG before then; and figured it was a matter of time he'd sign with AEW. Now he's left AEW, I'm gutted. Some of his best work for sure. Elevated Wheeler, elevated MJF further, helped elevate Danny Garcia, all whilst pushing the careers of 3 established guys AND entertaining fans with Excalibur. Going to miss him. I hope to God that (along with it being in AEW) the BCC somehow continues in NXT too, similar to Bullet Club and Impact.

I was at that Portland NXT show. Incredible show! It was the last big event or trip we had until recently thanks to stupid covid lol. My wife took me for a Valentines weekend. She loved it too. Asked me why we don't see good shows like that on Raw and SD. Sad that even as a casual viewer she could see how the NXT talents Hunter/Regal/Michaels built were utterly mis-used on the "main" rosters.

I've watched Regal since he began in the States and really never thought of him as much more than a career jobber. Watching his run on AEW and listening to him here gives me such a greater appreciation for his entire career. I don't watch WWE but I hope nothing but the best for him on his return.

He’s a wrestlers wrestler. When I was younger I hated him as I should’ve. He was a great heel. Now that I’m older, I go back and just enjoy his work. His timing in the ring was amazing and his work on the microphone has always been impeccable. I love seeing how uncomfortable the crowds get, depending on where they are, with Regals flamboyant promos 😂. A U.K. crowd will always get a kick out of that sort of discomfort. Much like they did with Adrian Street.

I was wondering why Regal wasn't hired in a backstage role for AEW, it makes sense now. He just needed a break from behind the scenes work and the stress behind it. It would've been cool to see Regal help run ROH like NXT but it makes sense he just wanted to he an on screen character and that's it

@@joaquimaraujo96 They've just recorded their lowest rated episode ever. Since the childish (and crappy wrestlers) EVPs pushed Punk out, the ratings have been declining. They have a drop off of about 100,000 viewers every time Omega or the Bucks show up on TV. It's not a sustainable model and eventually even someone as deluded and coked up as Khan will have to call it quits. His Daddy won't fund a failing show forever.

@@jamesedmonds7519 Ratings have been declining for aew or wwe, wwe lost 600k, 700k in one show, 1h of no comercials they did great, then they lost a lot of people and this last monday they did 1.2 for the 3 hour, it was the lowest rating ever for raw in 30+ years, even with Vince booking they did better than what they are doing, ratings are down always in December, but that's can't be an excuse, both companies can do better.
