Legends never die, I applaud you and the fans in Toronto that night for making the match what it was. You guys were the show stealers that night. But in all due fairness, there was no way of knowing that the whole crowd was going to pop 200% like it did for Hogan. If the WWE was expecting that kind of crowd reaction for Hogan, then surely they would have put that match on last. Of course, hindsight is 20-20. But at the time, it only made sense that the World Heavyweight Championship would be the last match on the card.

Pushing Jericho as the first undisputed champion was the right call. His heat was astronomical. The aftermath elevated his stock entirely, dude went from a midcarder to a worldwide top talent and looking back everything that happened was incredible for him. Can’t imagine what it would’ve been like had it been Triple H that was crowned, 2 other egos would’ve been hurt, and the storyline wouldn’t have been as memorable, e.g. Triple H vs Scott Steiner or Triple H vs Goldberg. Pushing HHH as the top heel that was over in most big matches was hard for awhile. Kurt and Y2J just fit the bill better.

The reign itself may not have been as great as it should've been but Jericho can still forever say he beat Stone Cold and The Rock in the same night to become THE FIRST Undisputed World Champion. Also always loved that Jericho was never afraid of Vince, respected his bosses wishes, but always bet on himself and that's why he's successful in everything he does. Jericho could've done Hollywood if he wanted to but instead started a successful rock band that he brought to a cruise where they had a wrestling event. VKM couldn't have even dreamt that up in his worse fever dream lol When Jericho retires he'll be forever in the GOAT conversation, and for me that's what he is.
