Insolence EDT vs EDP | Review and Comparison | Which one should YOU get?

@@layyahloves3913 it is a very dark boozy cherrie fragrance...almost border on cherrie cough syrup, but just slightly and much more refined of course...leather, almond and licorice notes makes it very sexy and kinda gothic. Definately not for everyone and not safe to blindbuy👍

Yes I have both glacee and my insolence and love them, they are both quite different from insolence edt and edp which I also own:) guerlain addict here

Insolence is just the best ever. I have and use both versions, still in the round spiral style. First tried the edt and my goodness I thought I had died and gone to heaven. Do you remember the song “I knew I loved you before I met you”, that is how I felt. It was bold and modern yet had a good dose of nostalgia The edt sillage is something to behold. Wore it to work sparingly. I smelt the trail everywhere I had walked, even the next day. People were very intrigued by it. I then also bought the edp, and having thought how can perfection be improved on, I learned how. The addition of Iris is wonderful in creating a deeper, smoother result. Sillage and longevity are lower than the edt but still outstanding. I live in fear of this being discontinued. If I had to pick only one perfume to wear for the rest of my life, it is Insolence💜💜💜💜💜

This is such a helpful comparison video. Thank you so much for creating it. I bought the EDP and then after watching your video got the EDT as well. I am comparing them side by side now and the verdict it still out which one I like the most. EDT is definitely more citrusy and sparkly, and upon receiving it I thought I liked it more than EDP, but there is some smokiness in the very dry down of the EDT that I don't sense in the EDP. I keep going back and forth between them both. Need a few more wearings to get a firm opinion on their differences. But your video is so helpful and I completely agree EDT is a bit stronger on me too and long lasting, EDP is more reserved but still lasts pretty good.

I’m so glad you enjoyed, that means so much to me! I agree that since they’re pretty similar it takes a few wear tests to feel out the differences. Most people I ask can’t even tell! The performance on both impressed me, especially since they aren’t super strong gourmands or anything :)

Im glad jm not the only one who noticed the smoky drydown of the edp. Im not a fan of it, unfortunately. Its just something i dont want to smell on myself.. Gonna have to buy the edt. Can you tell me hows the dry down of the EDT?

@@samanthanuraieen1608 To be honest, I found the smokiness present in EDT as well. Probably even more so than in the EDP and not so much in the drydown, but throughout the composition. I don’t know if it’s licorice causing it or if it’s the effect of guerlainade recipe.

I've purchased one of each, and the EDP did not last long at all, more of a skin scent on me, whereas the EDT lasted longer. So I spray "both" on me to balance the fragrance and longevity. It worked for me.

I have a similar experience with the EDT lasting longer (thought for me the EDP performs decently). I’ve sprayed them both on me as well and I like the combination of the two! :)

Lovely video, I adore the look of the bottles so much but unfortunately the edp wasn’t for me at all, the powder was a bit too dry and all I could smell was violet & iris. Really want to give the edt a go though as I think I might prefer that one! 🧚🏻

Thanks, girl! If you found the powdery-ness too dry, it is similar in the EDT to the EDP, but it does have that added fruity-ness that gives it some life and sparkle ✨ I adore the bottles as well, I’d display them if my shelf didn’t get so much sunlight! Thank you for watching 🥰🥰

I bought a large bee bottle of the edt after receiving a 3 ml sample in the mail yesterday . my 12 year old daughter and I instantly fell deeply in love. We've gone through 2 ml in the last 24 hours . Idk what I will do having to wait 10 days for our bottle to come. Instant addiction and I hate powdery smells and have never liked a violet perfume before and certainly not an iris one. Liquid crack! I own like 50 perfumes and I've never bought a full size bottle so fast after trying the sample. I will buy every flanker and then backups too. Crack , I say! We're gonna wear this out all spring for sure.

It’s a beautiful experience, as soon as I smelled Insolence, I was nervous bc it was one of my first blind buys, but the moment it hit my nose I smiled from ear to ear! 🥰💖

I just wanted to let you know that I got my fragrance today, aaannnddd.... I love it. It makes me smile! It's so uplifting and beautiful. For an EDT it is a beast, but not in an obnoxious way. Only 1-2 sprays needed.

Hi! I find that layering the edt (bee bottle) with Cottage Violette body milk can help with the longevity issue. Also, you might want to try the edp in the OG packaging, it performs better in terms of projection and longevity imho. 💜

The John Lewis website is showing a picture of a bottle that is shaped like a house and has clear glass as opposed to this frosted glass. I am really confused if they have changed the packaging again.

I believe that may be La Petite Robe Noire by Guerlain. The bottle has a very triangular, house-like shape!

I own both. Both are almost the same. Both last forever... I would not say the pink one it’s a fruity perfume whatsoever... it’s pure violet both of them. The perfume it’s just a little bit stronger. That is it! These are some of the most complimented perfumes I own I have a ton of perfumes. The best part is I always get them in Spain for soooo much cheaper that in the USA.

Ohh wow there is nothing on YT about comparison and I have heard they are quite different !, I would love to own the edt Insolence is my very top favourite fragrance in my collection and the only one I do not overspray as it’s just not necessary and lasts for such a long time .I love how you described how it follows you around a room , this is so accurate and I think this fragrance is magical , I do have the original spaceship bottle .I did an unboxing of this fragrance .If I see a good deal I will buy the edt in the bee bottle as it is also beautiful LOVED THIS VIDEO Hugs frances 💓💓💓💓

I do a little bit of both, I just think most people are used to seeing others spray it on their wrists and necks and do the same. These days I tend to spray it on my clothes! 😊

it's important to spray a fragrance on the skin to see how it would react with one's body chemistry. One doesn't buy a fragrance to just spray on clothes or their hair. I personally appreciate those who do spray on their skin (than just a test strip)
