Thank you Insomniac for introducing me to my wife of 3 years, been raving together for 7 and have a 4 year old. I had a totem that said “If you’re lost come dance with us!” …as my group walked from main stage to the bassrush tent (Escape 2017), I heard Her voice from a distance express “HEY!! I just lost my friends can I come dance with you guys?!” …and the rest was history!♡

I remember seeing this colorful flyers in my youth due to my older brothers raving it when I was a kid. Growing up in San Bernardino and seeing how raving was progressing through my brothers always had me curious about it. Dance music was a pillar to us since my family moved to the states. As a teenager(2008/plurlife days) I was able to attend the local underground raves (Hudson theater/and travel out to the high desert and LA for the slightly bigger ones(motive/fresh, etc) but for a small moment I was able to attend insomniac & go venture festivals prior to the age restriction due to the edc 2010 situation. Gracefully waiting to hit the age to return home. Been going strong ever since now as a married man and father who plays dance music vinyls in the home for my girls who loves all my kandi I have displayed on my wall. Thank you for the memories and we continue to dance to the worries of the world away for those that aren’t with us anymore who loves the rave culture as much as the next individual. 😭❤️👑✌🏾

My very first and only MASSIVE rave was at Beyond Wonderland 2010 in San Bernardino and it was absolutely one of the most fun and greatest moments of my life. I teared up watching this video. I remember when I was living in Vegas back in 2019 and I had met someone who told me about EDC Las Vegas. I had no clue what it was, but after he told me about it, I was immediately sold. I told myself I would go to it someday and I finally did in 2022. When I bought my ticket for 2022, I told my boss at the time I'd need the time off and he immediately granted it and even helped me prepare for it. He told me about kandi and plur so I'd be ready to experience it. 2 years later, I've finally learned how to really love myself for who I am and it's all thanks to this community! Thank you Insomniac for playing a big part in my self-love journey
