From my perspective this is one of their softer songs. The overall atmosphere of the song is somehow serene, uplifting, compared to some other gloomier ones. But what happens to you (and it happened to me as well ), is that you are getting used to this style of growling. The thing about Insomnium is that the voice supports the instrumentals, not the other way round. The main charater in Insomnium's song is the orchestrations, the voice is just an accent placed to support it. Their music is so melodic, that the heavines of the voice at some point is irelevant, once you get used to it. A friend of mine suggested to me to listen to Insomnium, at thirst I couldn't get it, exactlly because of the voice, but at some point, I don't know when or why, I started to like it :-)) Remember that this comes from a Depeche Mode fan :-))
