pretty clever casting of lee ingleby as lewis too because of the newcastle background

Probably closer to John Thaw's portrayal of Morse. Lee Ingleby is great as Lewis and again closer to Kevin Whateley's character.

I LOVE THESE WITH PEARSON AND INGLBY AS MORSE AND LEWIS. EXCELLENT. COULD ANYONE TELL ME WHAT THE MUSIC IS PLAYED RIGHT AT THE END IN MORSE'S FLAT? I FOUND IT VERY MOVING. ❤

I enjoyed that, thank you. Good plot, and a good cast too. I had occasional wobbling in the music, as if on an old tape, I wonder why that was?

hey love the picture and very clever how you stuck neil pearson and lee inglebys heads on top of those suits
@ThomCurley Жыл бұрын
Actually they are legitimate pictures of both chaps in suits which took a long time to find (in the case of Neil). I felt had the right whiff of Morse and Lewis. Glad you enjoyed my sad indulgent picture making.

No. Not Morse. Not Colin Dexter, who I knew (a privilege to do so). Good in its own right but not Colin.
@ThomCurley Жыл бұрын
I take your point. I’m a huge fan of the original books, but also the TV series which went above and beyond Colin’s original books, but were overseen by him. As you may or may not be aware the writer of these two Neil Pearson plays, the late Alma Cullen who sadly passed away last January, was no stranger to Morse having written the episodes The Death of the Self, Fat Chance, The Infernal Serpent and The Secret of Bay 5B. Colin certainly approved of her work. The first play Ghosts was a touring play with ex Doctor Who Colin Baker playing Morse. So wish I’d seen it. Glad you enjoyed. I’m very jealous you knew Colin. What a legend and what a creation.

So you only ever allow things you like immediately into your experience… What a tiny, tiny, tiny world you live in. I suppose it feels safe for you. Enjoy living in your minuscule safe bubble… Leave exploring the joys, wonders, and surprises of the world for the rest of us. Stay safe now in your bubble, at least you know all your prejudices and instant judgements will not be challenged. Enjoy yourself..
